...I'll do my best Canadian impression and politely disagree.

"PK?" Surely you don't mean Subban but rather Penalty Kill--3/3 tonight! Alas, soooooo much hate directed towards the good guys from Anaheim! 5-3 my Ducks take Game 2! Came back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to do it, and they did it with the supporting cast this time--Vatenen, Kase, Ritchie, Vermette...and then, Good as Gold Jakob Silfverberg! (Got him and a pick that became Ritchie in the Bobby Ryan deal, and he just scored that OT winner for the Senators in Game 1 in the East Finals, so a win-win on that deal.) 1-1, the series is tied...and a good one so far...

Pernell didn't look that great tonight, he's been good though so far in the playoffs. I think this is going to be a great series. I have to admit that I was cheering heartily for Ducks against the Oilers but it's now a little harder to root for this pack of goons... but heck, it's kinda good old timey playoff hockey.

Alas. All due congrats to the Predators on their end, Rinne was great and Sissons with the hat trick...but wow... Rinne stopped about 40 on his end, and Bernier gives up 4 goals on 16 shots he faced? -_- You win as a team and you lose as a team, but THAT was the big difference right there, and it couldn't be more striking. Hopefully Pittsburgh or Ottawa can knock 'em off...oh well, the NASHVILLE Predators win the, ahem, "Western" Conference.

I WILL say, I watched Game 4 with a non-hockey friend, and she saw the Preds' yellow uniforms and thought they should be called the Bumblebees instead.

I think Nashville was the better team through most of the series but not tonight...Ducks shoulda coulda won tonight. Bernier did stink the place out...Jets fans can relate.

Bernier happened. The shots were something like 43-19 Ducks. If the Jets want to add Bernier to the lineup, I'm sure he would settle for $750,000/year. He won't be getting any other offers.

Give up two early goals...go down 3-1...they still push-push-push, stay in the Nashville zone the majority of the time, out-shoot the Preds 41 to 18 on the game...everyone did their job but #1 in your program, #0 in your hearts after that. He wasn't completely useless this postseason (he did come in to relieve Gibson in one of those games against the Flames and was solid) but man oh man did he lose that one for us. Because of that, though, it doesn't sting as much as last year's WCQF loss to the Predators in the first round--that was just a total team failure and after they'd gone one round further each of the previous three seasons. Again, all due credit to the Preds, but I think even the fans in Nashville'd have to agree--if it's Gibson in net last night there's a decent chance we're preparing for a Game 7 tomorrow. It IS a little worrying from a team perspective with Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler and Co. all being a year older next year (they're not "old" yet, but they're definitely not "young" anymore, either, there's still a couple years but this was a very good chance missed) and the expansion draft coming up. Still, good effort for everyone else, no shame losing to the Preds (much as I still wish the West would be represented by...you know, a team actually IN THE WEST) and we still had some good postseason memories from this run. Sweeping the Flames after they KO'd Fowler near the end of the season (and the "YOU CAN'T WIN HERE!" chant lives for another season! ) and no one who saw it will forget that Game 5 vs. the Oilers, that was great. And hopefully Ottawa can bring the Cup back to Canada or Crosby wins another for Pittsburgh....while Ovie sits at home after the 2nd round again..."the Great Number Eight" my eye...Jets fans know him by a different number, but WE had a Great Number Eight, ya know...and HE could actually get past the second round, and WON A CUP! And hey, it's baseball season! And my Mets with their star pitching staff are gonna...oh... Well, when football season starts the 49ers...oh... ... Is it October yet?

Quackbeth, I love your heart for your team. You are very gracious. And yes, as Jets fans, we can definitely relate to being sunk by sub-par goaltending.

It's a nice change of pace to be speaking of how poor goaltending caused a loss and not have it be about the Jets eh?
It was a head shaker Quackbeth. Have a cold one on us.
