Was anyone into pro wrestling circa 1996-2001. I admit that in late 1997, I started following wrestling again, and it was a guilty pleasure of mine to read about and watch Nitro and Raw. I did this for the next two years, until I started to lose interest in WCW. After the WWF bought out the WCW in 2001, I eventually stopped watching wrestling all together in 2002 after the Wrestlemania in Toronto. I'm just surfing YouTube, and ahve found some memorable wrestling moments:
-The Fingerpoke of Doom -Hell in a Cell -Ric Flair returns to form the Four Horsemen -DX invades WCW -Rock vs Austin -Jericho debuts -The West Texas Rednecks -Goldberg wins the championship -Dudley Boys/E & C/The Hardys
So many memories. Cannot believe its been 20 years!

Cannot believe its been 20 years! Used to watch back then. Went to a few WCW pay per views; 1998 Halloween Havoc in Las Vegas. (Bret Hart vs Sting, Hogan vs Warrior, DDP vs Goldberg) And 1999 Spring Stampede in Tacoma Wa. AWA ruled in the 70's!

Halloween Havoc 98' I rented that PPV after it came out. There used to be a store on Main near Euclid called "WIZARD'S VIDEO" back in the day that the owner somehow got ahold of every WWF and WCW pay per view event, which is suprising considering that the bigger chains like Blockbuster and Jumbo Video had all kinds of problems with the WCW distributors. That PPV was the infamous Hogan-Warrior showdown, that some voted as the "Worst match of the Decade." What's even worse, is when they finally showed the Goldberg-DDP main event, the WCW didn't bother to inform the cable companies the event would be longer than originally intended, so they cut the signal just as the match was getting underway. Thousands of angry wrestling fans complained to their cable companies. In return, the WCW had to issue full refunds for everyone that subscribed to the event. They ended up losing millions.
On the plus side, the WCW did damage control by showing the DDP-Goldberg main event on Nitro for free.
