What would you prefer to see happen? Keep in mind, several #8 seeded teams have advanced to the Stanley Cup Final.
The LA Kings won the Cup in 2011-12 as a #8 seed.
Nashville was a #8 seed team this year, and made the Final
Philadelphia Flyers of 2010 were #7 and made it to the Finals
The 2006 Oilers nearly won the Stanley Cup.

I bought a new Harley Davidson yesterday!! I'd like the Jets to make the playoffs. This let's tank for draft picks after the 10th game of the season is getting pretty tiresome. I'm going to the Guns n Roses concert this summer!

I'm going to the Guns n Roses concert this summer! I totally agree. I loved it when we made the playoffs in 2015. Such an exciting time. The reason I bring it up, is certain posters on this forum believe it is better to miss out on the playoffs for a higher Draft pick, than it is to get into the playoffs (where anything can happen), and create more of a winning culture. I've never understood the rationale for that train of thought. ps....Got any pics of your Harley?

Only time I've been happy/relieved that we didn't win more than we did. I do understand the thought of tanking to a certain degree. (Personally never agreed with it.) But after so many years, there has to be a time where enough is enough. I recall jokingly making a reference of an 8 year plan...3 years ago!!!! This is the year! Has to be! If not... clean house, and start the process all over? Don't know how to post pics on here. 2016 Harley Breakout, white. Nice bike, a bit quiet, but the new Vance&Hines Big Radius pipes will change that!!

Sweet! I ride a 2002 V-Rod and '01 Sportster Custom myself. Nice to have another biker on board!

The draft lottery has proven there is no guarantee of a top pick, make it to the dance and you never know what could happen. I'm not a Maurice hater, but IMO if the Jets are not in a playoff position come US thanksgiving Maurice and Huddy will be released.

No reason that these Jets won't be looking at home ice advantage in round 1.
Top 6 that can score with anyone in the League Scheifele,Laine, Ehlers, Wheeler Perreault and Little.. Plus players at even strength by outscoring
Great shut down line... Lowry, Armia, Copp. that is hard to play against and can play against the other teams top line.
Great depth competing for ice time on the 4th line that are NHL players on any team in the league: Matthias, Petan, Connor, Dano, Tanev
Guys that likely deserve a callup and might force their way on the roster ... Roslovic and Lemieux.... Howden played 58 games on the Florida team that made the playoff 2 years ago and he is a fairly long shot to get ice team with these Jets.
On Defense the Jets have put together a group that the top-6 have 5 guys that have recently been a top-2 NHL d-man. The #6 guy is Morrissey!!! Tucker Poolman would have been conceded a 5/6 slot on past teams and a lot of current NHL teams.
Then at goalie the Jets franchise has finally got a proven top tier NHL goalie. That is something that they never were even close on.
Mason has been a blue chipper since after the year after he was drafted (with 12 OHL games). He played only 3 games in his whole career in the AHL.
Barring a crazy amount of key injuries this is going to be a great year to be a Jet's fan

^ Agree! The talent is there to win a round...then watch out! Depth is getting there in all areas, finally with some good players who will be on the outside looking in. I'd rather see Lemieux on the team than either Dano or especially Tanev. Then Jets didn't offer Howden a contract for this year so it looks like he won't be back.
