Hello all, Have a new imac. Built an imovie but now I can't figure out how to save it to a dvd so it will play on a home dvd player. I tried all the extensions available and no go. I called Mac and was told it could not be done on my computer. Was told that mac dropped that capability (idvd) with the new macs. It was suggested that I download a program that would allow me to convert to a dvd formatt. I need suggestions on which one to download. Nothing fancy just the basics will do. I would like to be able to have a menu. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank you I did not find the right solution from the internet References : www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/how-do-i-burn-a-dvd-that-will-play-on-a-home-dvd-player-576584/Compliance Management Solution Video

I'm not sure about DVD burning but I just recently converted downloaded flac files to cda for burning an audio cd that would play in my old Sony cd player...was very easy and worked like a charm!
The software I used is called Express Burn by NCH Software (google it) and I just used it with the free evaluation period and let it expire after I was done with it since I have no more cds to burn. It has dvd and blu-ray burning functions that looked to have options you'd expect for those formats, NTSC or PAL, tv aspect ratio, menu setup, etc. I'm no expert, not endorsing it, never burned a dvd in my life, just had good experience with it for audio CD.
