Sad news, he suffered from dementia. I remember when I lived in Chicago him coming to our boy scout meeting once and he sat and talked with all of us. He brought some sticks, I got one of them, had a wicked curve on it. It was a Northland, quite heavy and had the Gunzo's stamp on it. Wish I still had it

Niever really seem him play,a s he was b4 my time. Was he as good as Hull?

They were two different types of players, but Mikita was one of the best centers to play the game, I believe he is till 18th overall in points and he is the only player in history to win the Art Ross, Hart and Lady Byng two years in a row
