split a pair of P1's
also would like to give them up or a portion BUT I won't as we cannot go back to 1996 without a team...that is a disaster

To those giving up your tickets, what made u decide to give them up? Many factors. 1. The never ending cost increases are just too much. Add on parking, I don’t have time to make home and then downtown through traffic week days so add the cost of a meal ever day. The terrible flow of traffic and being stuck it in for an additional half hour minimum after the game. 2. Why am I paying $80 to sit in a terribly cramped seat, with leaning Larry in front of me that I have to look around when I have a 110” projector and a beautiful couch to watch it on. 3. It sure as hell isn’t the atmosphere. The library these days can Be louder. 4. In all honesty, today’s regular season NHL is a pretty crappy game imo. When the Jets left in 96 I stopped watching NHL other then playoffs. Boy has the game changed. Overall I find the game pretty boring. But overall it’s the pain in the a!! To get downtown and the never ending price increase that have me burnt out.

split a pair of P1's also would like to give them up or a portion BUT I won't as we cannot go back to 1996 without a team...that is a disaster Yay, hockey's back! Wow, yeah, I'm with you, let's not go there again! But as an outsider, just a fan, TNSE has gradually eroded the game day experience, I think not intentionally and not even consciously, but there were signs early on (IMO) that fans were being taken for granted. I think the fact that they had to cut off the number of seats sold or reserved at 21000 back in 2011 made them think they had a well that would never run dry.
This year attendance is still hanging in there not too bad considering how bad the hockey has been this year AND last year. But cracks are showing, everyone who goes to the games or tries to offload their tickets knows it. I know quite a few season ticket holders and it's alarming how many who were dizzily partying in the streets back in 2011, saying then "we'll never let them go again" (yes I was one of those) are ready to turn their backs on it now a short 9 years later; for almost none of them is it because they can't afford to go, it's more about the lack of perceived value for money, but I would say more than anything, notwithstanding the True North shout out is still alive and well, many fans feel a disconnect with the team.
Honestly, it's hard to blame people for making the decision to walk away (or I hope take a break), and in a way it's necessary in order to wake up ownership to adopt a TRUE fan-first philosophy and put an emphasis on winning rather than mushy feel-good TN family crap. That has never included the fans imo... everything they do is unilaterally presented to, more often feeling like imposed on the fans.
And for many who have dealt with account reps over the years, the attitude always came through that if you don't like the game day experience, there are 8000 people in line ready to take your spot. Well I'm pretty sure there aren't anymore. I think next season unless something really exciting happens to get the good vibes back, we'll see how slippery the slope has gotten.
So having said all that, and knowing I'm not a happy ST holder, not enjoying the hockey or atmosphere at all... beer, popcorn, pizza prices I couldn't care less and I probably still won't buy any of it very often... BUT, the Jets are still too important to me and to Winnipeg to turn my back on it so... I'll be back next year, and probably the year after that. Hopefully we're at a low point this season and things rebound soon.

I renewed for three years. This is NHL hockey, its going to cost more Anyone see what they pay for NFL season tickets (for 8 games) is the same or more than what we get for 41 games
I couldn't care less about the music they play, I don't need a projector on the ice to get me excited, just show me games like last night against the Bruins, although a loss, it was very entertaining
One more thing, we stay until the end of the games, live in south St Vital and it takes between 15-20 minutes to get home, including getting out of the parkade. I have never seen traffic as an issue (just another excuse, same as you hear for Bomber games)

For me it starts with them trying to funnel 3000 people through 5 doors to get into city place. That alone takes forever. I parked in the convention center. By the time I pull out of there usually Maurice is on the radio. I’d say roughly 20 minutes. From the convention center to main and broadway, another 10 minutes. after that smooth sailing but it’s a minimum of a half hour for me to get out of downtown let alone home. Maybe I need to park elsewhere! Because if where I live bomber traffic is the best!

We're going to our second game of the season tonight, and will be at another one in March when our grandson plays some timbits in between periods. We have Bomber season tickets, for those bitching about the parking downtown try getting out of U lot after a Bomber game. When it's a close football game with a big crowd it's guaranteed to be 40 minutes just to get out of the parking lot!We never have trouble heading home after hockey.

Or keep over 5 grand in my pocket for my seats and watch it on my 110” projector on my couch, home by 5:30, not 11, free parking at home, cheaper better dinner, cheap beer, don’t have cram into a terrible seat and deal the multiply idiots in front of me that don’t realize they paid for the back of the seat as well. There that as well.

We used to park inside (Portage Place) but now we park outside, and yeah it's a really cold walk some nights and many won't go for that, but with the time we save, I even got her buy in to doing that.
First, rather than having to battle through the tunnel to city place, we take the first door out of the 300 level concourse to exit the arena and it's clear sailing from there no matter which way you're going. We park in a spot fairly close to the arena with an egress that spills out exactly in the direction we're going so there's no doubling back. I have to say, we're out of downtown pretty quick even though we almost always stay right to the bitter end. Honestly, I think we're into free rolling traffic twice as fast as we used to at the old Polo Park barn.

We actually live about 3km from IG field, only drive there because the 87 year old inlaws can't walk that far. Lots of people who just walk from Richmond West can get home before us most nights! At Jets games we usually park on the street near Broadway and take the sky walk so our outdoor time is reduced. We stay to the end, and by the time we get to the car it's all good. And tonight when we win it will be that much sweeter!

I am in the upper deck, we go out the west side exit at Hargrave, down the stairs to the exit, walk across Hargrave to the parkade, up the elevator to our car. We have learned where to park there to get out quick, turn left on portage, left on Osborne and the only time that there is traffic is Osborne village due to the parking on the street cutting one lane out. After that, clear sailing to homw which is very close to the perimeter. We used to park at the convention centre for the first couple years so we could leave our coats in the car, but we still don't bring coats no matter how cold as only out in cold for a minute or two
