It seemed like there was some interest in another thread about the work ongoing at the MTS Center, so rather than hijack it, I'll answer here.
For those who missed it, I'm working on one of the crews inside the MTS Center.
As far as Moose tagged signage, typically that's the kind of thing to be done last on any construction site, so they're in good condition for the public to destroy, and not the workers. Plus, the floors are being done on the main and upper concourses, sanded and resurfaced, so restricted access right now. But the amount of Moose de-branding to do is staggering. Every washroom I've been in so far still has the Moose logo on the soap dispensers. The cup holders in the Labatt lounge still have Moose stickers on them. Carpets follow this as well. If you enter the building at the southwest corner, the Moose carpet is still there.
Some of the other stuff that's going on is a Media Room is being built, pretty much every square inch of concourse on the Event (lower) Level needs to be re-painted from beige, brown and green to white, grey and blue, more skate-friendly flooring is going in, new/renovated concessions on 1 and 3, 50/50 stands, the press box, they're removing a chunk of catwalk that obscures the expanded press box, the engineers have been moved to a temporary trailer because they're renovating the offices. Plus any TV related stuff. There's lots to do. One positive for construction is that as of yesterday, all the seats have been handed out.
Mark Chipman seems like a pretty friendly guy too, got to say hi when I passed him in the hall earlier.
