....and for some reason the Moose banner/signs are back up this morning. You'd figure they would just take them down permanently. Strange. Having a hard time letting go? Come on TN. Just found this out today (back in action after being pulled away from MTSC for more pressing matters), the pictures of the Moose players (along with bands that have played MTSC) on the Section markers in both concourses will remain. Why? Simple. They don't have any pictures of Jets players in Jets gear to put up in time. Let alone the time to make these things. The signs are meant to commemorate past events in the facility. Even five years down the road, expect to see a few Moose players still up there. Rick Rypien is up there, for example. You may see new ones come up over the season, but it will be gradual. Also, there is supposedly this 'roller coaster' being put in for custom jerseys. You can go to a touch screen during the game, customize a jersey, pay for it and before the game is done, they will press (not stitch) on a name and number to the back for you. Jerseys will be shuttled around on overhead rails much like a roller coaster. On another note, I had to do some work in the coaches' offices on Saturday AM. Got to meet Claude Noel (kind of a customer-tech support talk). Also got to see the rookies getting worked over on the exercise bikes during fitness testing. Very cool. One player (I don't really recognize the young guys) was heaving in to the trash (literally 10 feet from where I was working) after his go on the bike and actually had to lay down after. They were working 'em pretty hard. Guys I recognized for sure would be Zack Yuen and Carl Klingberg. Yes I'm bragging. Thanks work!

ouch...wait till there is snow on the ground...maybe they should have put some carpet down instead... I completely forgot about Winter.... that will be a nightmare in there. Was anyone else at the rink this weekend that noticed this issue with the new floor? Flooring issue has been fixed. Was there this morning and it appears they have added a gritty surface to it. Much safer now.

Looks great. Anyone notice the construction on the second level of City Place? Jaws is circling! ...okay I'll bite..... What's going on there? Some stores have been closed and displays removed on the second level and some construction will or has already begun on the second level of City Place. I will speculate that it will be one of these: www.sharkclubs.com/I wouldn't expect it to be complete until next summer and ready in time for the start of next season.

I must say I really like those logos on the doors. Can't wait for the 3rd ex. game.

was @ Pearl Jam.... (GO JETS GO, Eddie Vedder!)
the upperdeck is far from being done. some of the concessions are functional, but there is a great deal of wall torn out/covered with temp drywall. there is new flooring in however and its not slippery.
as for front doors: lots people (including me) walking in were touching the door logos and saying "thank you TNSE".
