Why does it need a nickname? We gonna call the iceplex the flight simulator?

Not sure MTS would like a nickname on the building even though many have tagged it the phone booth. In keeping with the company theme and the service they provide I suggest the Hanger-upper.

Why does it need a nickname? We gonna call the iceplex the flight simulator? HAHA Good one. I agree thought I've never been found of tacky nick names for arenas, like you have "The Duck Pond" and "The Shark Tank". Then again when playoffs roll around the whitehouse is preety rock n roll.

From the result of the first game I would call it thunder dome.

It's really gonna come down to the media catching a glimpse of a sign in the crowd and running with it. Whitehouse in the playoffs, and the hanger for the rest of the year. I give it a year and the media will have a nickname for the LOUDEST arena in the NHL!!

can people stop calling it the hanger, if your gonna give it a nickname at least spell it right. A Hanger is what you hang clothes on. A HANGAR is a closed structure to hold aircraft and/or spacecraft in protective storage

why does everything have to have a nickname? i am just going to say 'i am going to the game tonight' and people will know where i am going without me having to say the hangar or the portage avenue puck palace
