Keep Dubois pay him what he wants he's a strong bull of a man everyone wants! Why don;t the jets want him, I know cause there lost in translation of what the team needs to look like. Build some more big talented men around Dubois and Conner and Ehlers surely a Shefle Wheeler trade would get you something half decent? If Dubois goes then it's a rebuild cause Shceif Helly and Wheeler are leaving dodge as well? Incredible Chevy is doing it again not knowing what he's doing?

Sounds like he's willing to see some stars in Hollywood for a year or two but that's about it. If he would have kept his mouth shut a deal would have been made already that everyone was happy with.

I somewhat understand he wants to leave, however how can we even compete if we are getting lesser men on trade from the rumours online? We have what everyone wants but get potential but no sizzle,. Sad being a jet fan really!

The names being mentioned in a LA deal are Vilardi and Iafollo. Vilardi is an RFA. Iafollo is a UFA after one more season. So, as part of the deal, do they commit to signing with some term here? This is what I find curious about the potential LA trade. They could both be gone after one season. I think Vilardi has 3 years of control still and Iafollo 2. I stand corrected. That's reasonable.

Chevy would have to make him the highest paid player in the league for him to even think about saying here. I'd love to see what the comments would be if that happened. He doesn't want to player here. Nothing the Jets can do about it. He's sucks and is no Laine anyway.

Ironically, DuBois wants out for many of the same reasons that Laine did- there is a dysfunctional locker room managed by a mediocre GM and the team is going nowhere but happy with mediocrity.

Darren Dreger @darrendreger
Indications are the Montreal Canadiens have tried to get back into the mix for Pierre-Luc Dubois, but haven’t been able to gain traction. Montreal has “future” assets, but Wpg needs NHL ready players. LA has that and it appears PLD prefers the LA option. Developing story.

Hockey Writers are saying that LA is now Dubois' preferred destination and that an announcement could be made at any time.....from the little we know, seems like the best option for the Jets as well.
Let's hope it gets done today.

A recent tweet from Murray Ates said the deal is almost there with Vilardi, Iafollo and Rasmus Kupari being the pieces coming from LA. I assume it is Dubois and Harkins going back.

The Los Angeles Kings are discussing terms on a contract with Pierre-Luc Dubois as the Winnipeg Jets look to complete a sign-and-trade deal, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports.
TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston notes the Kings and Dubois are discussing the max eight-year term.
Trading Dubois may be just the first of several moves this week for the Jets, who are expected to undergo a major roster overhaul.
The team is believed to be also gauging trade interest in star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck and forward Mark Scheifele.
TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger said Monday that talks had started to "percolate" on both players this week.
Winnipeg is also expected to cut ties with former captain Blake Wheeler, either via trade or a buyout before the window closes on Friday.
Wheeler has one year remaining on his contract at a cap hit of $8.25 million. A buyout would clear $5.5 million in cap space for the Jets in the upcoming season, while leaving a cap charge of $2.75 million for the 2024-25 season.
"The bottom line is the buyout window closes next Friday, and the decision has to be made by then. Wheeler will not be playing for the Jets next year," LeBrun said last week on Insider Trading.
The veteran forward had 16 goals and 55 points in 72 games with the Jets this past season. He added two goals and six points as the Jets were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Vegas Golden Knights.
