Tonight the Jets are probably facing the toughest challenge they have faced up to now or that they will face all through the regular season (not counting Vegas)...has to be at least top 3 toughest tests.
You would think the Bruins would have had a big drop off this year after losing Krejci and Bergeron and it seems they are missing them somewhat, while still leading their division by a full 3 games after 30 games. Not bad...
Jets are still in a hotly contested battle for top spot in the Central, moving between 1st and 3rd place from day to day...could have 1st all to themselves again tonight!
It looks like no changes to the lineup.
From Illegal Curve:
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Ehlers - Scheifele - Vilardi Perfetti - Namestnikov - Iafallo Niederreiter - Lowry - Appleton Barron - Gustafsson - Jonsson-Fjallby Morrissey - DeMelo Dillon - Pionk Samberg - Schmidt
Hellebuyck Brossoit
Primer from BigOlJetAirliner:
The Jets are coming in hot for tonight's game versus Boston, playing very well in 3 of their last 4 games while picking up 7 of 8 points. The Bruins have been getting used to being in tight contests, as their past four games have gone to overtime or shoot-out (3 OT losses & 1 SO win). Here’s how the two teams match up: GOALS FOR/GAME: Boston – 3.17 / Winnipeg – 3.35 GOALS AGAINST/GAME: Boston – 2.57 / Winnipeg – 2.58 SHOTS FOR/GAME: Boston – 31.6 / Winnipeg – 31.0 SHOTS AGAINST/GAME: Boston – 32.2 / Winnipeg – 28.8 POWERPLAY: Boston – 24.5% / Winnipeg – 16.7% PENALTY KILLING: Boston – 87.5% / Winnipeg – 74.5% The Winnipeg Jets (8-0-3) are without a regulation loss to the Eastern Conference and the Boston Bruins (9-0-2) are without one against the West. Somethings got to give….or will Boston make it 5 straight games of going to extra time?
Go JETS GO!

Much better start than normal for the Jets. High tempo has Boston back on their heels.
Should make me feel better, but all it does is make me worry that if they don't score soon, the Bruins are going to get a cheap one to take the lead.

That was pretty rich Marchand calling for an elbow penalty on Niederreiter.
