Scheifele wasn't sharp offensively, but you can't fault his work ethic in this game. He was strong on the back check and in our zone.
He needs to shoot more. He's always looking pass.

Solid game. Last game was goal posts and this game was the refs but we fought through it.

All of a sudden the Winnipeg Jets are no longer just challenging for the top spot in the Central Division, but have a real shot at 1st place in the Western Conference.
Right now, three teams have more points than them in the West, but all have played more games:
Colorado (47 pts in 36 games), Vancouver (49 pts in 36 games), & Vegas (49 pts in 37 games)
Therefore, if Dallas or Winnipeg (46 pts in 34 games) win their 2 games (min) in hand, they would have 50 pts and hold onto the top spot.

24 consecutive games and counting where the Jets have allowed 3 goals or lessš.
The 3rd period was crazy, canāt play that way tomorrow/Sunday.
Got the win, thatās all that counts.
Cheers,

I am so tired of hearing "3 goals or less"....just say the Jets haven't allowed 4 goals against already....stop playing with words to make things sound better (i.e. avoiding using the higher number). Itās not about 4 goals, itās about 3 goals or less, according to NHL record books. Lolš.

I had no idea that was a stat that the league kept. I can't find it anywhere.

Itās a statistic that all media are mentioning, if it wasnāt a measurable statistic from the NHL, no one would be talking about it/media wise. I donāt have time to find the link for you, however, I am sure if you go through NHL statistics, it will show up somewhere in there. Bottom line, if it wasnāt a statistic, no one media wise would be talking about it nor mentioning it.

I was curious whether it actually was, or whether it was a record pulled up by the team statisticians. The team is definitely leading the league in this stat. So, in looking through what records the league keeps, I couldn't find anything like that on the books. Curious. It seems pretty obscure to me. The NHL website describes it as a Jet/Thrasher team record. Nothing there at all about it being an NHL record.

Hey, thanks for the update.

All I can say to you is that sports media, media types report that the Jets beat the consecutive gameās record of allowing 3 goals or less per game for the NHL as in an NHL record, this has been talked about for quite sometime by sports media leading up to tonight when it happened. Hopefully this all makes sense. As a note: It has been talked about on TSN, CJOB, Illegal Curve as the potential of the NHL record being broken by the Jets.

It may be a record kept somewhere by the NHL, although like you say, it seems pretty obscure and hardly like a stat one would normally look up. But I would assume someone with access to all of the NHL's compiled statistical data could derive the stat...which makes me think like you, that it's real but some statistician has come up with this.

Glad that this is cleared up, itās an NHL record, although a very obscure NHL record, good to know.
