This was an almost a perfect road game. Itโs funny, I never felt the jets would lose this game even when down. ๐๐.

Ok I'm starting to believe this team has what it takes. I still would like to see a tough nasty winger up on the second line but the Jets top 2 lines seem to find a way to play sound defensive hockey despite being checked by the opposition's version of the Lowry line. They're winning games because of the 3rd and 4th lines. That's what works and wins in the playoffs. I still don't believe in Perfetti but Namestikov is mentoring him how to play with the physical play while still being productive. My opinion is Namestikov is a real driver of how this team plays. Iafallo is a perfect fit to that as he has been around enough to know how to play against the hits, clutching, and holding. Scheif and Vilardi are learning the hard way but they are learning. Ehlers? Well he is a marvel to watch and dances to his own drummer but still plays both ends of the ice effectively. Bowness and Arniel are doing a remarkable job with what they have for personnel. Hope they continue to improve and make me eat my words!

He speaks the truth of the team going forward? Yes and the ingredients for this cake suggest another talented scorer with GRIT? Gotta have all the Tools?

Ehlers is my trade target. Gotta give up something to get something. Package him with a D man. Not going to happen. The team will not mess with the chemistry by trading a current player, especially a top 6 forward. Look for a 5/6 D or a 3/4 winger and draft picks as the trade (or the likes of Stanley). Even if we added another 'Nino" , the question would be where do they fit? Assumming no further injuries, Conner comes back and Iaffallo drops to the 4th line. Kupari comes back and that kicks out Gustafson. Add another guy and that kicks out Barron. When we added Nino and Name last season we lacked depth, now we do not. If we add a RH D, that kicks out Schmidt but he is playing very well with Samberg right now. I could very well see us standing pat at the trade deadline. Not sure they want to distrurb what is going on.

Perfetti lindholm and KFC wow to that second line Can't see the Jets being able to afford Lindholm beyond this season and he may not even consider re-upping here. Therefore the acquisition cost would be way too high for a rental, in my opinion. Though I agree that Winnipeg may be looking at adding a forward at the trade deadline over a defenseman....but a lot can change in the two months before then.

Jets have time to ease Kupari into the lineup and see if he lives up to his top-six draft billing. It's a long shot but worth waiting for a bit.
