It's been kind of disturbing to hear so many respected hockey experts get behind what Hartman did to Perfetti as though it's just part of the game. Especially Sportsnet, a network where Ron McLean is ready to shed a tear over any heart melting hockey injustice...they have other paid experts who think Hartman was just defending the code. Only unfortunate thing they say is that Hartman did it to Perfetti and not a veteran player like Scheifele.
I think SN takes this stance only because it's the Jets. If the same thing had happened to Marner or McDavid instead of Perfetti, they'd be taking the side of the Leafs or Oilers fanbase. I think you can bank on that. Enough of what I think about that!
The reason I bother to talk about the Hartman thing in a Jets/Ducks GDT is because of the elephants in the room named Strome and Connor.
I don't mind if Jets seek out some vengeance for Strome's "wreckless" (dirty) injuring of Connor back on December 10 that the DoS did nothing about, when the opportunity comes up and within the rules. But Jets can't afford to get into penalty and suspension trouble and I'm sure they know that. I don't think the Jets will be distracted by it; primary focus will be on getting the win for Brossoit.
Let's end the night in First!
From Illegal Curve:
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Perfetti - Scheifele - Iafallo Ehlers - Namestnikov - Vilardi Niederreiter - Lowry - Appleton Barron - Toninato - Jonsson-Fjallby
Morrissey - DeMelo Dillon - Pionk Samberg - Schmidt
Brossoit Hellebuyck
Go JETS GO!

Best vengeance is a dubya. Anything else is losing focus.

The whole idea of a “code” is childish, it shows a good number of players are clearly not very bright. There is no code in the NFL and no fighting and it is a far more violent sport than hockey.
Players like Hartman just embarrass themselves by doing stunts like that. And then he claims the he was defending his skilled player who was hurt and that the skilled guys should be on the ice not injured - but he has been suspended how many times?
The league and the players association is a joke on these matters, they are not bright enough to realize how far back they have fallen as a major league in terms of league revenue and it is this kind of stupidity that contributes to that.
That is my rant for today.
Go Jets!

I can guarantee one thing, no Jet will pick out the youngest, smallest Duck and chop him unsuspecting in the face. Mainly because they aren't gutless, Aholes. Just go out and beat them on the scoreboard I say. Go Jets Go.

The biggest threat to the Jets tonight is complacency.

You don't see the embellishment call very often. That one was warranted.

I played that back frame by frame and I'm not sure that stick even touched McTavish. Oh well, it's killed anyway.
