We are slowly slipping off the standings pinnacle. Thankfully it isn't the free fall of last year. Gotta right the ship (Jet) Saturday's game. They're at least playing a sustainable style of game still that should keep them in most games until they get guys back. As has been said though, the lack of offensive depth is concerning, like BOJA says, seems like one player can't fix that.

The Jets if anything are consistent in their foundational play. It can help them ride out some of these hard spots with injuries without completely sinking.

Our players should go to a movie called Kucherov The art of getting points and learning how to score? All our players struggling with the 30 point plateu at the halfway mark of the season? If we are picking up anyone for a playoff drive it;s gotta be an Ace in the deck and many names we've talked about on here are has been"s We need a GOAL Scorer fast? The Buchascavich from STLoius seems capable< Konecky that caliber and nothing Less? Perhaps Malkin? The fact Scheif is candy Bones as always now Morrisey Valardi playing hurt means alot missing on this team? Our Moose callups probably won't happen cuz like trump would say ! We're stupid? Slow to respond and Saturdays game against Toronto could be the tipping point either way?

With our forward injuries showin up along with Morrisey now perhaps Ville will have an oppurtunity? Bring along Lambert and Chibrivov as well perhaps we will find a diamond in the rough?

If they were ready for prime-time, one or both would be here. I am not sure that either is the power forward the team desperately needs right now. And we still do not know Morrissey's status, but I hope that is good news. If Heinola is called up, that is the confirmation that Stanley's days are numbered.

You are right, neither are power forwards. Lambert is looking like he could develop into a nice 2 way average height center with speed and some scoring touch. Chibrikov is way too small to be a PF, with his best attributes being a great puck distributer, good speed and scoring ability, and a willingness to get involved physically despite his size. He needs more work on the defensive side of things than Lambert, so he might be farther away from being NHL ready. Both would probably be helpful to the Jets awful powerplay units.

Lambert shows signs of being a fast player who can aggravate the opposition into dumb penalties but has good enough scoring touch to produce 15-20 goals per year. Chibrikov's future is limited by his size.

Vil and Morrissey are game time decisions Saturday. Scheif is still on IR. It would seem to me you want to end on a win for the break plus it's a HOME GAME. Hopefully both will return (Vil and Morr).

Only have 1 game prior to the player/allstar break. It's gonna be Chisholm ( IMO ) for the one game. Stanley's days are definitely numbered.

Hopefully his days are numbered too then!

It sounds like both Morrissey and Vilardi will be in. I think " game time decision " in this instance is more of a just in case of a relapse thing . In their interviews today it sounded like they would play. PLUS they don't usually allow injured players to be interviewed, so..... I believe they will be playing.
