And our chronic ineptitude in FO continues. The stats I saw said the Jets won 38% of them.

Yes just watched the hilites of the game. Lowry looked absolutely non NHL out there and our players look like they have zero creativity in how to score a goal? Laughing stock really? Some players looked okay but not much more?

Missed a good portion of the game how did our goalie play compared to there"s Others may think differently but 37 got to play against a 5 minute major PP. 5 on 4 and the Pens have a PP. 2 goals bang bang. Game over. I think he played well enough to win. The die was cast when Dillon foolishly took out a Pen player with a head shot. He may get more than a phone call from DoPeS.

Hellebuyck played well enough. His boys let a guy walk right into the slot with a perfect backhand. And then abandoned him netfront twice on a 5 minute powerplay. Follow the bouncing puck. As it turned out, Letang's backhand was all the Pens needed. You don't win many games with zero goals.

On a positive note, this loss falls into the 3 goal or less category. The streak is alive again. 1 and counting.

I think Monahan will have a steep learning curve with Ehlers on his wing. The King of the Ice Capades ? Everyone is waiting for Ehlers to explode. How many more years to wait ?

This right here. Not an excuse. It's just pre-season. Yes makes sense need to give them a little time to gel. Excuses. This team is not good, been fooling us again for 47 games. Don’t invest in them because they don’t invest in you

I'm not sure I could put a finger on what has happened to the offense. Something has upset the chemistry and it happened before the Monahan trade. They seem to be slow in making plays/passing. To much east/west passes instead of dump and chase with speed. They'll figure it out. I just hope it doesn't take too long for them to do it.

Phone hearing for Dillon...maximum of 5 games then.
Will probably suspend him for at least 2 to avoid the Pens rematch delving into a goon-fest.

Shakin your comments are the same comments we've had before about the offense the last two years. The PP in particular looks slow and mechanical. Other team's know what the PP is going to do. Sometimes the opposition players are the recipients of a tape to tape pass. Scheifele and Bones have said they've had plenty of opportunities. But when the opportunities are from our 3 and 4 lines we aren't going to score much. That shorthanded 2 man breakaway by Barron and Lowry against TO was typical of our chances, luck and skill all rolled into one sequence.

I Feel our top guys like Conner Scheif Ehlers have to take a hard look at them selves and say Wtf? I gotta do things Better Faster Improve Iprove Improve< How are second third and fourth line guys doing the same things Im doing hitting pads, posts and looking second grade No pushback?? Speed is the name of the game!

Again it's only my personal observations but it seems they're standing still waiting for a pass which is easy to defend. It's really obvious on the PP. Connor and Scheif need to wander into the slot much more if for no other reason than to drag some defenders with them. My 2 cents

Is there another team in the leaque that can fall from grace so easy? Is it eating a mouthful to much spaggetti or just plain apathy? Is it Bones system, is it Lauers hockey intuition cause our powerplay is simply not acceptable at this juncture of the season? Perhaps our guys are not as good as we perceive them to be? Pick the cause and what is the cure? Some guys point totals have stayed static for two weeks now?
