Some Connor ragging comes to fruition. The Monahan rag kind of worked too...got to 50% in faceoffs.

In the post-game interview, Bowness minimized the Jets struggles in the game, blaming it on bad bounces and stating that the Jets won the second and third periods. No major concerns about the faceoffs or power play. Steady as she goes.

He might come clean on how they're playing in a few games if it keeps going this way but I think he's afraid if he goes straight on honest like he did last year he might lose the team. And he probably would...I think still some pretty fragile egos in that room.

But, we all know teams tend to ease up with a big lead. Tallying up shots and advanced stats are moral victories. Of course he has to spout that line. Teams have stepped their game up. He needs his team to respond. In my mind it's been about 15 games since they played anything like a dominant game against a true cup contender. Maybe more.

End of January Philly lost 5 in a row before beating Florida and now the Jets. Their home record was (is) not good. Jets started the game poorly. These are old habits which are creeping in. Add to that their horrendous PP and you have the making of a slide. Just like last year though despite stinking out the last part of the season they should make the playoffs. What they'll bring at this point is anyones guess.

Can Bones go from All-Star coach to ? Should 10 and 0 Arniel be elevated? Is all this stuff too soon? All questions brewing in Winnipeg and it's Jets.

I'm not concerned about them making the playoffs. The Central is weak. At least 3rd place. But, you never know. The thing is, 3rd gets you Dallas or Colorado in the 1st round. Correct me if I'm wrong. That playoff bracket is confusing.
You want to finish in 1st and get a wildcard team first. That's the ticket.
Let 2 and 3 beat up on each other.

And, let's talk Logan Stanley. I just don't get it. Chisholm is better. Gone. Capobianco is better. We don't know yet, but Ville might be better. Bones had him ahead of Stanley after camp.
Chevy just won't give up on this guy. You don't need to showcase him for a trade. The whole league knows what he brings. It's not enough. He's not good enough to be a regular. Marginal as a 7th. I'm assuming Chevy has not been offered much for him, and he's loath to waive a 1st rounder. The project.

I kinda get it, but man I sure would like to see Ville the kid get a chance with Dillon out. But somehow I doubt it. But, should Stanley play all 3 games, the jury will have all the evidence in front of them that they need. You're right though, they probably have all seen enough. Personally, I think he would be a trade "sweetener" and not much else.

The "family" has gotten a little dysfunctional. I can't point to any one or two players or even the coaching staff. It's a group effort or lack of. Other teams seem to have figured out that you have to hack and whack and trash the Jets top 2 lines. There's nobody that will push back. They're a good defensive team with more than enough offensive players but that grit and toughness is lacking.

Gawanke (remember him?) has been waived by the Sharks with a buyout/ release in the plans. Not sure WTF happened there but he would be free to sign with whomever he wants wouldn't he? Stanley needs the same time and opportunity as Samberg had before they let him go. Heinola needs the same. Can hardly bitch about a player who is stuck in the press box. Let him play then there would be some substance to his criticism.

I hear what you are saying on what you have stated, although, I hate to say it, Stanley is most likely not going to work out, unfortunately.. In response to Gawanke: Gawanke is going back to Germany, resuming his 4 year contract that he initially signed with Germany prior to being traded to the Sharks/the Minnows/the Sardines, whatever you want to call them. Gawanke didn’t want to resign with the Jets, he then signed in Germany for 4 years, Jets retained his rights, Jets then traded his rights to San Jose for Znaitzev(probably spelled that wrong), the Z-man never made it with the Jets nor the Moose, Z is somewhere overseas at this point. Anyhow, Gawanke had his chance with the San Jose organization, San Jose traded for him, obviously the San Jose organization didn’t see anything in him after they traded for him, kinda funny when considering how crappy the San Jose organization is and that they didn’t see anything in Gawanke in comparison to what the Sharks currently have. Anyway, Leon is going back to Germany where he has a 4 year contract. Happy Friday🍻😃👍! Cheers, 2b9👍

Not horrible under the circumstances and last night -2 but the whole team stunk. I agree that he deserves an honest shot and if Winnipeg won't do it then someone will. Chara had the same issues took a while was traded then the light went on. I think because of this they have kept him around as long as they can which will probably be it this year as he will surely want out. Sure we'd love to see some of the other players but they need size you can't replace Dillon with even more small dmen. It's bad enough as is! Not that Stanley fights or even hits but at least he doesn't get smoked. Jets def need some grit as well fully agree.
