It is crazy when you think about the fact that the only goal from Winnipeg came on a Pionk shot that was deflected by Lowry and then Barron to actually beat the Sharks goalie. On 40 attempts!!
Least amount of saves Bucky has ever had to make for an NHL shutout.

By the way, RIP Kenny Ploen. ekjets probably remembers seeing him play! I remember him on the radio with Bob Irving calling Bomber games.

Sigh, I even have a picture of me, Kenny Ploen, Leo Lewis and Steve Patrick as a young Quaker Oats Kid. It's somewhere buried with the other million pictures in the house. I even remember the Fog Bowl. Many years later we attended a lot of their games when we had some spare change. And Irving's voice was on in the house or car when the Blue were playing.

Least amount of saves Bucky has ever had to make for an NHL shutout. It maybe the lowest number of shots but he had to make some key tough saves. And need some big D help from 55. And kudos to Scheife, he's all in this year!

Well I figured not many here would have memories of him but I figured you have such good memory of watching WHA Jets, you must remember KP too. BB legends Kenny Ploen, Leo Lewis, Steve Patrick and a very young ek...sounds like a great pic!

Well dont know what to say on this. After all star game a back to back team Pens then SJ a bottom feeder. Concerns continue to resonate concerning PP and scoring. This team has a knack of making average goaltenders look world class of late. They're playing the best team in the NHL on Saturday. The Canuck's goal differential is ridiculous. One goal isn't going to do it. They need to figure it out.

Yeah three goals wins 2 games. 3 goals won't win a period against the Nucks. They will have to be their best shutdown Jets version. Is it Bucky or Bross? Home boy Bross often starts Vanc games. And get some of those multiple deflection goals. I wonder what Monahan's take is on our and now his offensive woes are? Is this a contagious disease?

Monahan is doing exactly what we brought him in to do, win faceoffs which he has been doing well at so far. I still think the offence is coming, would rather the slump be now than playoff time.

By the way, RIP Kenny Ploen. ekjets probably remembers seeing him play! I remember him on the radio with Bob Irving calling Bomber games. Ploen was a class act, an American that stayed in Winnipeg after he finished his career. Gerry James another Bomber great also passed away, Gerry played a number of years with Ploen.

Put Arniel behind the bench and the boys will score? Old Guch Bones is a funny guy at interviews but makes players nervous trying to interpret his game plan thru his 3 points in 80 games hockey carrier? Makes the boys clutch the stick to hard? Hard to play for a hard ass just saying? And the line Blender thing its all Chemistry disrupting?

It bothers me that Ehlers is Bones' whipping boy quite often. For all Ehlers mistakes, he recovers hard defensively and he continues to drive offense.
I can't say the same for KC. He's been a zone killer and his back pressure is weak. Often non-existent. Why doesn't he get dropped down once in a while?
Ehlers, Scheifele and Vilardi have been our best offensive line this season. Put them together, leave them alone, and let them find their game. Quit catering to Kyle Connor.
Why keep making an example of the guy who leads the team in points per 60 minutes? This blender approach has these guys disconnected.

I've been ragging on Appleton lately. He's offensively challenged. My hope is that McGroarty signs a deal this spring and joins the team. Faint hope.
If he does, the Jets likely Moose him. I think he could step in right now. McG with Nino and Lowrey would be an absolute killer 3rd line.
