Glad to see that the coaches are making some changes, and trying something. It's desperation time for sure. Glad Miller is going in and Stan is coming out. Was listening to the game on Sunday and it sounded like Stan was a disaster.

Well, I had a feeling Avs might be rope-a-doping us in the regular season. Avs gentlman's sweep 4-1.

Wild ride Boys . Offence wins hockey games Defence wins Championships. Lets face it Colorodo forwards are just a better pedigree of players forward and defensewise? And there Goalie was better as well! Nobody gonna argue about those statements. We were to predictable for playoff hockey? Just average talent at best?

Most likely Bowness' last game as a head coach. I think he had a fantasy about winning a Cup for the team he got his start with so many years ago, fairy tale ending to a long long career...no doubt a very disappointing and emotional end for him, especially when you consider all of the personal stuff he had going on this year. I'll always respect him for having the balls to call out what needed to be called out.
Maybe Arniel is the right next guy but I hope they take their time picking the next coach.

Thanks Guys for all your Views and Hope in the Jets? The summer will be interesting. I think we may find alot of Two for One good player swaps? I want Brissoit as our next year goalie. Cantstopapuck can get us some real good Value if wearing the rose colored glasses on a summer trade fest, or can he? Pionk as well as Schmidth Kupari trade material.

Which Jets players are UFA's this off-season and which ones are UFA's next off-season?
It is the ones for the following season we need to move out now if they have some value.

Myself, I thought Miller was so-so in his limited playing time and would not be happy with him being the only RHD on the roster, as it's unlikely trades/free agency are going to supply us a #1 & #2 RHD. Any roster moves Winnipeg makes better be to do with improving the top six forward player-type mix and try to get better at one of the top two RHD spots. There are too many soft, below average or near average defensive forwards (Connor, Ehlers, Perfetti, Scheifele, Toffoli) at the top end of the team. And Vilardi & Monahan aren't much better than average. That makes it almost impossible to put together one 2-way competent forward unit, let alone two. The Jets need a Tkachuk or Hyman-type player at the top end of their wish list and could settle for someone that plays like NYR's Kreider or FLA's Reinhart. I'm torn on Monahan, cause I think the Jets should give Lambert a look at the 2C spot next season but the cautious approach this team takes makes that unlikely.

Agree about our top 6 needing to get tougher. I don't think Toffoli will stay with us, saw something today that his wife is American and they want to go back. I like Monahan and I hope we can keep him. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought Stanley was on a 1 year deal, and I'm very fine to let him go.

The Black Hawks did it right. Not going to bother to get into their history I've done it before but Toews and then Kane served as their core with some other pieces. They win some Stanleys then rebuild. Who did they get but Bedard. What's their pick this year - they will be drafting in the number 2 spot.
Two top picks almost mirroring what they did years ago - Toews was #3 overall in 2006 and 2007 #1 overall Kane.
Jets management/ ownership needs/wants playoff revenue so instruction is to get it and to hell with rebuild. That is, status quo in large part. Fans will react adversely.
