The 1st place PWHL team is allowed to choose their 1st round opponent. How girly is that? Dumb in my opinion. Another thing is their draft selection rankings. Points accumulated after a team is officially eliminated from the playoffs accrue toward getting the top pick. Sort of an anti-tank weapon. The idea being to keep games competitive. But, how does that help a really bad team? Seems to me it benefits the bubble teams a lot more. Oh wait. There's only 6 teams. So really, none of this stuff matters. At all. Shows how much attention I pay to woman's hockey. Or how much knowledge I have thereof. I plead ignorance.

While I have watched some games (or parts of), I certainly don't know the rosters well enough to be certain. But since they just drafted their teams, how bad could the parity be at this point? I get trying to stop the tank, but like you, not sure that rule will get it done or even make things better than the current system.

As it sits right now, with just 6 teams, it doesn't matter a whole lot how they do it. With only 2 teams that miss the playoffs, seems like overthinking it at this stage. It's not like you have 16 teams in a race to the bottom with a Bedard as the grand prize. Interesting concept, but a bigger sample size might be required to see if it has merit. If your absolute worst draft spot is 2nd overall, do you really need to tank?

Don't like any US based team in particular. But, my hatred for Vegas burns. The scars are deep. I need Dallas to make them gone.

Wondering what becomes of Boston this upcoming season.
Including does Berube have what it takes to bring the Leafs to the next level.
Interesting on both Teams as to what comes about next.
Cheers,
