Luc Robitaille talking about it not mattering where you were drafted " the minute you are on the list....it's up to you " . Perhaps Mcg should think about that.

Totally don't get that last trade from NJ??
Holtz is a former 7th overall pick who scored at a point per game in the AHL and put up more points in the NHL last year when compared to Cotter. Schmid had a bit of a rough year, but still seems a decent goalie prospect and all you get back is a bottom sixer & a 3rd?
Wonder what they would have given up for Appleton? lol

With the 155th pick of the draft, the Jets selected 6' center Markus Loponen of Finland. Here is what one scout had to say about him: Markus Loponen, LW: Loponen played a depth role for the Finns, mostly helping out in his own zone. And, honestly, he wasnβt really noticeable. From watching him play domestically, he struggled to adjust to changing situations in games and his effort level was all over the place. That felt like the same thing here, even if he showed spurts of real skill. *** yikes, didn't actually read that before I posted it...not exactly a glowing endorsement. lol.*** Here is another scouting report: Loponen has a variety of different shot types he can utilize. His catch-and-release wrister in particular earned respect from our scouting staff, but his arsenal also includes a very competent inside leg release that he uses to surprise goalies even from longer distances. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide

Chevy finally heard the fans clamouring for big players and he delivered with the 187th selection of the draft when he opted for Kieron Walton. The 6β6β³ Toronto-born C/LW has a lot of height to go along with a 211 lb frame at the young age of 18 and put up 43 pts in 65 games with Sudbury in the OHL in his pre-draft season. Here is a link to his scouting report: thehockeywriters.com/kieron-walton-2024-nhl-draft-prospect-profile/

Hope the 6'5" guy isn't the 6 footer in the linkπ. Also he doesn't take as long as Stanley to mature from a hockey POV

One of the most boring drafts I've ever experienced for the Jets. It's bad enough that Chevy is typically uninteresting and status quo with most everything he does particularly on draft day.

There was a lot of excitement that was building up to the Draft/Jets specifically. Thereβs still tonight/Saturday night, tomorrow/Sunday, then comes Monday/Free Agency, still time for some excitement, hopefullyππ. Cheers, 2b9πππ
