semin would be good on an incentive based contract, he is injury prone and lazy at times so you want money you gotta perform ...betcha he would get 50 goals and play 82 games with that contract

Seeing as no other NHL team has signed him yet, I suspect we could get him for a good price.

He says he prefers a one year deal so why not take a shot on him? The thing that worries me though is that he's moved around a bit and for a guy that is supposed to have "natural" talent it is a bit of a red flag for me.
In the interview he recently made he stated that the GM in Philly did not get why he wanted to take a car service to the rink. I can see that being a little irritating.

Drury would be a good fit for the right money on a one year deal Agree with you here. For the right money, he's a center which we need. If he's healthy, he can still contribute/help develop the younger guys. Zherdev would also be an interesting gamble on a short term deal. I'd be interested to know what he values his services at.

Drury's NHL career is done, or rather it should be done for his own good. Degenerative knee conditions don't fix themselves and I doubt anyone should be thinking of signing him to a playing role at this point. Zherdev would sign for something comparable to last year with Philadelphia, 2M per year. That or a tad lower at around 1.8M.

I think lukemiguez is right there, Drury is on the way down. As for Zherdev, I think the Jets should take a chance on him. They really have nothing to lose, especially if they sign him to short term contract. He is one of those players that can perform brilliantly at one team, then poorly at the next, so signing him to a one- or two-year deal will show us whether he is likely to perform well for us or not; therefore giving us the option of letting him go or extending his contract.

Guess we can end this thread. Gotta look for a scorer elsewhere now.
