This is not an expansion team. They should be playing better. Boring, Boring, Boring hockey right now. ya but buddy there are still new players and couch's on the team it is a new team . With respect, this team has been a team for 10 years. No doubt there are "building years" and this could be one, but much of this team has been together. Also, every team has turnover from year to year. This is the NHL. A new city , yes, but not a new team. That said, they should have kept Anthony Stewart as he has speed, stands in the danger zones upfront where dirty goals happen. In the AHL, coach does not loose the team that often as the players single goal is to get off the team to the NHL. Petty politics are few. In the NHL, everyone is fighting to stay. it is a fine balance when loosing to keep the room together and atop a poisioned room., which is the coaches job. That said, it is only 3 games.

It's not so much that the team has lost 3 games, it's the way we lost them.
Power play is nonexistent, Byfuglien needs to play forward, Noel can't keep juggling lines- he needs to stick with something, we were very sloppy, and as I said before, the team simply looked like amateurs in comparison.
I wouldn't call this a discussion full of Rookie fans, it's about understanding what you're watching.

' well i agree with you to a point , yes the Thrasher aka the Jets have 10 years in the franchise history , what has to happen is the team has to grow and thats every thing it takes time to get to the Cup plane and simple .

we can all agree on players play the game but the coaching and system played in my opinion is a huge part of any sport including hockey. We are being out coached badly and it is unfortunately is making our players look bad! Yes it's very early but we may be saying the same thing in 20 more games.....either way i'll be there cheering them on no matter what!!

I'm not at all happy with the performance of the team either. That being said, our owners knew what they were getting in coach. And I've got to trust them that they know what they're doing. So far, he isn't just taking these losses sitting down. He is sending people down, switching up lines, putting in the backup goalie...he is making every effort to find some sort of spark. At this point, I don't think he is the problem at all. The players need to start playing to their potential...
PERIOD!
(I just had to...)

Noel isn't certainly not taking these losses (and the way they're losing) lightly.

this whole thing about true north can't do anything wrong is getting old quickly! They have brought nhl back...that's it!! They have no experience at this level at all, let's have an educated discussion about facts and let's start calling a spade a spade! we have no toughness at all and that will become very evident soon enough. we don't sign Bodie who would have thrown his body around and pick up a guy who in my opinion is as useful as a pylon to this team!

The problem is they are expecting AHL experienced coaches and staff run an NHL team. It's great that True North brought back the Jets, but we will be going nowhere fast if we turn the club into an NHL version of the Manitoba Moose.

I can assure you the mods are wide awake. Your post is not helpful. As of right now the team does suck, saying so isn't trolling and it's pretty hard to argue against that. I can hardly wait for the 1st win. That will be a much easier night for mods as well. Hey buddy, you deserve some Karma.

Three games in is too early to make a judgement on the coaching staff.

I am disappointed in the way the team is playing. It looks like they have no system - period. It looks like they haven't practiced the fundamentals - from defending, clearing the puck from in front of the net, moving the puck out of their zone, the power play, etc., etc., etc.
I don't know if that is the fault of the coaching staff or not, but it is ultimately their responsibility to prepare the team.
There are positives -- we can see the skill level of many of the players, but they aren't playing as a team imo.
Buff is playing like a rover every game I've watched. Perhaps he needs to play as a forward. He is kind of symbolic of the way the team is playing - he's impressed me with his skill but not his positional play.
Having said that, I think some of us are overreacting. It's only 3 games. The NHL is back in Winnipeg. We need to build for the long term and not lose sight of the bigger picture.
