With the exception of moving Buff to forward it's too early to pass judgement on the team and coaching.
I never watched a single Thrasher game from last season so I have no clue whether the team is playing better or not. Seems about the same right now. Atlanta was awful the 2nd half of last season.
We've got to stay strong..... we can only hope that Noel is seeing the same things we're all seeing so far.

Noel's line shuffling is a problem in my opinion. I think that is one area he is wrong. But what do I know.

Remember everyone ..... they forgot to purchase / get the last year's game tapes when they purchased the team (supposedly had something to do with them not purchasing the teams computers). That would have helped Noel tremendously

That would have helped Noel tremendously Exactly the problem. They are still trying to learn strengths and weaknesses of each player. They didn't need the computers but someone should have thought to buy the data. As an attorney, I can say this ... Blame it on the damn lawyers.

Are we still on the "fire the coach" line of thinking?

Are we still on the "fire the coach" line of thinking? I am sure the fanboys will bring it up again after a couple more losses at some point, it's just how it's going to be in this fishbowl. On another note, exciting game last night. The Coyotes one made me fall asleep so I am glad to see how our team can really play.

I am not complaining about Noel strategy. He is doing good job. Even if team finish this season in low seat and miss PO I will keep Noel for one more year. Everybody is fresh, Team, Managment, Coaches. They need time.

Are we still on the "fire the coach" line of thinking? Still way to early to make any solid judgements. GREAT win, but it is still just one win. ;D

Noel's line shuffling is a problem in my opinion. I think that is one area he is wrong. But what do I know. Nothing wrong with some line juggling early on. I think it was neat to see Wellwood play with Antropov. Might be a Sedin/Burrows kind of line ( a 1st line guy mixed with a 3rd line guy). Noel knew things weren't working, so he's mixing it up early in the season. I'll keep the faith.

How is the coach supposed to find out which players have good chemistry if he doesn't shuffle the lines at the beginning of the season?

Noel for Jack Adams -- I'm suggesting it now. He's managed to find the buttons to turn around a team that Craig Ramsay couldn't turn around in half a season.

You guys didn't get game tapes from last season? How does that happen?
I will say this for Ramsey. He got the team to do the basic stuff you're suppose to do. Clearing the puck, outlet passes, sustained pressure in the offensive zone. They played a good solid game the first couple of months then hit the Christmas break and never got out of it.
Along with the excitement you all feel for getting a team, prepare for some small degree of frustration. Good luck.
