TNSE completely ignored the Original Jets and showed them ZERO respect on Sunday and that, combined with the "we don't retire numbers" policy tells me that they likely never will, at least not in a way that shows a lick of class. Heisinger being on the ice with Thompson and Chipman, but no Cheveldayoff was a HUGE slap in the face to our GM. (That and the media shoving Heisinger down our throats for weeks and throughout the game tells me that this is just the first few nails in Chev's coffin here.) All this tells me is that we're headed to some dark places unless Thompson puts his foot down and stops the Moose politics from dominating the Jets. Were you at the game? Did you not see the 8 minute video showing the history of the Jets, from the Boby Hull signing going forward? How can you say that is ignoring the previous history? how can they retire the numbers that are retired in Phoenix? Is it not enough to honour the former Jets? Of course Zinger would be out there for the RR Ceremony, he was the one that discovered him and he is higher up the corporate ladder at True North than Chevy People just complain just to complain, it's boring after a while

If Quebec City can honor the great Nordiques that played there AND retire their numbers, (Stastny, Goulet, Sakic, Trembley, etc,) we can do the same for the former Jets that played here. That is no excuse.

That video was excellent... I agree, watching it brought me to tears, all those memories back to the WHA days, Dale, seeing them leave, the short bit on the Moose, the nice ovation Keene got, then seeing the announcement over again, it was awesome

Zinger trying to stab Cheveldayoff in the back? By all accounts, he was instrumental in recommending Chevy for the job because they are friends. You're out of your mind, big Chris.
Edited to add: I can almost guarantee you that if Zinger wanted the job, he would have had it.

I guarantee you Heisinger WILL be named the next Jets' GM by the end of this season and no later than the 2013 All Star Break.

Kid gets debunked, resorts to calling people "trolls". Typical... Can you provide sources where people can confirm your theories? If so, please share as I'd be interested to see it be as you say it is. Until it's confirmed with proof, nothing is "debunked". Still waiting...can't stick around here forever. If you have some suggestions on links/articles/interviews etc to back up your conspiracy claims please post them. I'll admit I'm a little skeptical (or very skeptical) but willing to see what you've got to support your claims. Maybe you win me over.

I guarantee you Heisinger WILL be named the next Jets' GM by the end of this season and no later than the 2013 All Star Break. why would you guarantee that? No kidding. As I said, if Zinger actually wanted the job, he would already have it. In fact, I'm sure there was much discussion about just that.

Heisinger essentially DOES run the Jets now but he clearly doesn't want to be held accountable. With Chev around, he has a fall guy.
I like Cheveldayoff but I think he's doomed to fail under this arrangement.

Even if Chevy left (which I absolutely DON'T expect) I don't think 'zinger would be the next GM. Personally I think that TN is giving a lot of Moose people a chance to prove themselves, but they all will have a fairly short time to prove themselves. The stakes are too high to risk making or not making moves strictly out of loyalty for past service. They'll find out in very short order that won't carry you as the only thing that matters is what you've done lately. This is where there is a big difference between running a big market AHL team and a small market NHL team.
