To SHAW: On Monday October 17th, you did not broadcast the Winnipeg Jets-Pittsburgh Penguins game in its entirety. This is not acceptable. The online community has emailed, tweeted and commented on your inability to provide the service we pay for. MTS and Bell had no problems broadcasting this game, but for reasons that will likely remain entirely your own, SHAW could not. Shaw will give up nothing but excuses and a late and lame "......sorry......."
Over the years I've been a customer of Videon later Shaw for at least 20 years. The only time you get something for free is when they're trying to "get" you to be a customer not "when you're one"!

and thats when u threaten to not be a customer anymore, i usually get what i want when i pull that card out Years ago I wanted to get another receiver at the new customer price of $50. They told me, a long time customer, that I could get one for $200. I told them I would switch to MTS if they refused. They called my bluff, I switched.... About 8 months later I get a call from Shaw asking if I'd come back; I did when they gave me 4 receivers, 5 free pay per view, and a reduced rate on some TV package which included I can't remember what channels. The receivers were for as long as I stayed a customer. At the time I signed up I asked the rep "are you guys nuts? I would have stayed with Shaw had they sold me a receiver for $50 like new customers were getting AND now you're offering all this." Answer was "that's the way it is...." I switched over to Bell later when I got a 51 inch HD TV and Shaw only had about 5 HD channels wheras Bell had about 30 at that time. I switched back to Shaw about 10 months ago when they offered up 2 HD PVR's, 2 SD receivers, a year of phone service for $24 dollars ($2 a month)' some pay per view and a great deal on a whole whack of channels. So to make a long story short I only ever got free stuff when I wasn't a customer. So good luck in getting a free month!

no man they have this new department no one knows about yet really called customer retention if ur pissed off on the phone not getting what u want all u gotta say is transfer me to customer retention and once u get transferred threaten to walk and as long as what ur asking for is reasonable then u will get it lol

I don't know, it's already free until December. I don't think it will work.
I am with MTS and they just sent me a message through my TV about ordering, starting Nov 1st. Super easy one click and I have it for the season and am also entered into the draw for tickets!
MTS so much better, one HD PVR runs three HD TV's and you rent it, don't have to buy it so when it needs upgrading, you just get a new one

The regular operators give you nothing. Threaten to leave and they give you rententions

Can't rent... Too fricken expensive! MTS sounds way better!

What happened, was at the game, did they end it early? from what i heard they started waaay late on shaw, and nobody could talk to shaw because thier phone lines were busy and there was no message to fans for a long time.
