Impressive Candidates Line-Up For Bombers Offensive Co-ordinator Job CJOB's Kelly Moore reporting 1/11/2012
Winnipeg Blue Bombers General Manager Joe Mack says some very impressive candidates have expressed an interest in joining Paul Lapolice's Coaching staff as Offensive Co-ordinator for the 2012 CFL Season. Mack told a Winnipeg Media Conference call he couldn't name names because some of these coaches are currently employed. And Mack confirmed that Lapolice would have no trouble relinquishing the play calling duties.
Interesting, sounds as if mack has told Lapolice he WON'T be calling plays next year. #1 Thank God, because Lapathitic was awful at play calling and #2. We'll get a better OC if HE calls the plays.

The WFP had an article about trying to sign Fantuz, that would be a nice addition and I think him and Carr would light it up.

^^^Maybe the New Stadium and potential contender can lure in Fantuz!! Personally I would love to see the look on Riders fans faces if he signs here

Carr was announced as resigned by the Bombers but a few hours Edmonton said they signed him.
Labatte is gone to Riders
Donny O is gone to Lions
Doug Brown is gone to retirement.
But hey, we got a long snapper. C'mon Joe Mack!!
If you follow Hefney on twitter, he ain't too happy:
jonathan hefney @hefney23 U know what I'm not gonna even get started with what our team is trying 2 do in this free agency.... But really like I could snap
jonathan hefney @hefney23 Man seems like every team has gotten better except us... I guess our 3 quarterbacks gonna play some receiver get the F outta here man #Sad
jonathan hefney @hefney23 B4 someone text me bout my Tweets just wanna say we really F-ing up... Feel like Micheal Jordan Making Decisions in out office #epicfail

Carr is a dink! He told the Bombers he would sign, then he goes back to Edmonton with the Bombers offer and gets them to better it.

Hefney should grow up. Did he expect the Bombers to either over-pay or hold a gun to Carr's head just because poor little Hefney wants to play football with his buddy?
Carr is the bad guy here. You verbally agree to a contract, then be a man and honour your word.
Carr will be replaced by a cheaper and possibly more talented import receiver. What sets Carr apart if his natural attributes - his size, reach and stride. But he isnt the most talented receiver in the league nor does he give 100% every snap. He can be replaced. So can Hefney if he feels that strongly about it.

It was pretty natural to be frustrated as a first reaction by the bombers losing so many players yesterday, but as a professional player, act the "professional" part. The bombers certainly didn't get any better yesterday, but considering the way things went down with Carr and Labatte it's hard to think our GM did anything too wrong.

Carr is NOT the bad guy here. he did it for the money. money he needs to pay the bills for his family. lets face it, the CFL isnt a league where your gonna be rich. unless your Flutie.
