re; Deuce Here's the thing, when we're surrounded by such uncertainty on the issue, we're not being provided with incompetence - it's on top of that we're being mislead in the public interest. Here's what's confusing me on the stadium issue: if it's not just incompetence driving the issue but a need to mislead, where's the reason? Typically when the tall foreheads we put in charge proceed to deceive it's for a reason - something with at least an intrinsic reward attached to it. Political expediency, efficiency, heck even backroom deals rewarding the local union leadership. But I see no percentage in lying about the stadium timeline. I see no benefit to saying 'it'll be done in June 2012' versus being public with a more realistic September timeline right from the very beginning. Mulroney misled us on the CF 18 contracts for political reasons in Quebec. The Liberals misled us so they could steal hundreds of millions of dollars to line their pockets with. The Bomber brass misled us on the stadium project because... I don't know how to finish that last sentence. Which is why I believe they had no intent to deceive. Which leaves incompetence as the only explanation for this debacle. m.

I'm not saying theirs an intent, I'm saying the intent is brought about to deceive the public interest. There's a difference. They're not covering up anything, if they're not asking us to figure it out for ourselves. Deceit comes in a mixed form of fear and manipulation tactically speaking. So it's hard to argue with you there. My point being they can easily just say, screw the harbinger delays, we'll just admit it and be done with it - let's do this right - open for 2013. The place is going to be a disaster if it's rushed now. The deceit is proving to be exponential because they've continually decided it's best to undertake an incompetent approach? I think there is deceit in that because the Bombers should be doing this for us fans, we support this more than anyone in the Bomber brass, they should be forthright about the project in it's entirety. It seems to me like they're walking on egg shells, not wanting to piss anyone off, but it's having the opposite effect. No one seems to be in charge here. It's kind of embarrassing to watch.

The Bomber brass misled us on the stadium project because they don't know how to run a viable operation so they rather not admit it.

For what it's worth, at least they're building a stadium there.
Any chance the CFL will come to Minnesota?

Knows what I'm talking about?? I see it my way. The weather has been a majority of above normal seasonal temperatures. I say, if you have a project of this magnitude you WORK regardless of the conditions unless they are to an EXTREME level of counter productive measure. The stadium delay using wind as an issue, from the winter we had considering this is Winnipeg is pulling the wool over our eyes. Case closed. Are you in the construction industry, do you know how much it takes to lift a gaint piece of metal over 200 feet in the air. Do you even realize that it would act like a gaint kite or sail and catch the wind and that a 10km/h wind would make to too dangerous to work? I guess not. But the people I have been talking to are in the contruction industry and understand all of that. But your the expert on large contstruction right and I should belive you over people who actually know somthing about construction? I used to be in the Sheet Metal Workers Union and installed a lot of various size panels on different buildings. If you are working with pieces that are even half as big as a sheet of plywood it's crazy what a gust of wind can do. if it's clamped on and being hoisted by pulley up the side of a building it can take off and swing around hard enough to cut a 2x4 in half. Can't imagine what it would do to a body part if it ever hit someone. I know nothing about the type of paneling they're using on the stadium, but I could definitely see it being an issue if it's a similar sheet metal application that I've worked with in the past. All that being said, Have you ever seen how fast Hotels go up in Vegas? crazy.

^I'm sorry but I'm not buying it. As I mentioned already, they should do this thing right and slate the opening for 2013. The place is going to be a disaster if it's rushed. They should be forthright and honest about it, rather than trying to rush the project.

I'm not thrilled with a few games being at the old stadium, but I think I will be even less thrilled if they choose to open the new stadium for the banjo bowl......I mean, first game ever and we are going to have to put up with some Rider fans in our seats and in our presence for our inaugural game? Gives me the shivers. And not in a good way.

I don't want those Rider fans coming into our new stadium!!
