So we have 26 televised games.....so to those who said all games would be televised, my question is, what happens now? Read here www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/All-Jets-games-to-be-televised-128023558.htmlKey Line from article "And, fear not: although the new radio/TV agreement between the Jets and TSN has yet to be formally announced all the team’s games – including those not listed here on the national schedules - will be on the tube this season."

spend the $200 and be able to watch ANY game (Wpg included) w/ NHL CentreIce. And if you miss a game, no worries -- you can always go back and watch it at your own pace. We started using NHL Centre Ice for coaching purposes; "...here's how Detroit execute's the 2-2-1...". It's awesome! If you live in Manitoba, Centre Ice will do you no good for watching Jets games. You will get every game but Jets games, just like how in past years Oiler/Flames games were blacked out in our region (as up until now we were lumped in with SK and AB as the Flames/Oilers region) Just sharing what my experience w/ NHLCI & GMCL was... Last year, I was able to watch Oiler & Flames games either on NHLCI or SNW and I had the option of HD or SD (b/c I paid for the HD channels). There were times when I didn't WANT to watch those games (neither team interests me much) , but I could go in afterwards via NHL GameCentre Live and catch the game in its entirety on replay just like a PVR. I plan on subscribing to NHLCI again this season, so when the season starts, I'll report back to this thread and keep people posted on my findings, but I'm anticipating that I'll be able to catch all away games via NHLCI unless the away feed is being broadcast on one of the other networks. Usually, you get the first month for free anyway (i.e. up to Oct 31st as a free preview).

Which doesn't work for Winnipeg games at the MTS Centre. That will be up to the local broadcasters. So the vast majority of the games will be standard definition. m. My point: A combination of NHL Centre Ice, CBC, TSN, RDS, SportsNet & your local broadcaster will allow you to see most if not all games. Over the past two years, unless a hockey game was pre-empted by the local broadcaster for some other sports event, I was able to catch most games. And when it was pre-empted, I could go online and watch it as NHL GameCenter Live came free w/ your subscription to NHL Center Ice. That's how its been for 2+ years so far (i.e. that's how long I've been subscribing). As far as what local broadcasters will do and what format they are capable of broadcasting in, I can't comment on b/c I haven't officially heard or read anything regarding that. Unless you have more credible information, I'm going to assume that local broadcasts being in standard definition is speculation at this time. Like you said, nothing has been made official, but I would bet a lot of money that TSN (once it is confirmed they are the local broadcaster) will do all games in HD. And any nationally televised games on TSN are for sure in HD. So that leaves only the 21 CBC games that may or may not be in HD, and as I said, I believe only about 7 of them will be in HD, but one thing I can guarantee you is that Center Ice will black out those Jets games that are on CBC. Thus, 21-7 = about 14 games that I expect will be the only ones not available in HD.

Every canadian team (and most US teams) have every game televised, we just have to wait for the announcement that TSN is officially our Regional broadcaster.

In my experience as a subscriber, NHLCI only blacked out games BECAUSE they were available on another network in my market; so if you have access to the other networks, you WILL be able to watch the game. Ex. so, instead of watching them on 309 NHLCI I'd watch on TSN2HD (assuming I subscribe to TSN2). Regardless, after the game I could watch it over again on NHL GameCentre Live like a PVR'd episode. Hopefully that clears up the confusion.

YES! We get the Coyotes game! Hopefully they'll be in HD. The Coyotes game is at the same time as a Leafs game, so there is no chance it will be in HD. I'll say it again: Every year, every single Canadian team has every single SATURDAY game picked up by CBC. So if Toronto, Ottawa and Winnipeg all play at the same time, each one will be broadcast on their regional CBC channel (CBC Toronto, CBC Ottawa and CBC Manitoba respectively). However, only 1 at a time can be on the national HD feed. 99 times of 100, it's the Leafs. If 2 Canadian teams that aren't the leafs are playing, it depends who has the more interesting opponent but the Leafs always play on the HD channel.

Hopefully that clears up the confusion. Yep, that is exactly what my experience has been as well, we're in agreement! The NHL GameCentre will be the only real Jets-value added component of NHL Center Ice is my point I guess - since for Manitoba residents, every game will be blacked out live on CI and available on some other channel (CBC/TSN or the regional broadcaster - which is also TSN). I have bought Center Ice every year for the last 5 years, because I liked to see Ottawa/Vancouver games, of which very few can be seen in Manitoba. However, now that we have the Jets back, I don't care about any other team AND all the Jets games will be available without Centre Ice, so I guess that's the point I wanted to make so that people didn't buy Center Ice expecting to get to watch extra Jets games.

I found NHLCI useful for those Saturday nights when HNIC was showing MTLvsTOR (for the upteenth time) and there was a better game like PIT/PHA at the same time. In fact, I had two TV's setup in the living room and my laptop logged into NHL GCLive in Mosaic mode (i.e. 4 games at once) for the out-of-town updates. My buddies would come over and they'd joke about having our own "hot-stove" w/ the out-of-town updates happening faster than HNIC could report them. Plus, the local Fox broadcasters have the best commercials. My favorite are the local PIT games w/ Mike Lang (i think that's how you spell it). Those car commercials where the players make a cameo appearance are pretty funny. anyway, good point!
