Of course I would rather see the games in HD, but honestly, I remember when there was basically zilch Jets games on tv and we had to listen to CJOB (maybe everybody here is too young to remember that)... so this to me is still awesome. Whatever isn't available on TV for whatever reason, I'll watch on the internet. There's tons of free sports streaming websites.

Actually the 21 games on cbc sucks cause more than half of thoses games well not be in HD. The 5 games on TSN and all the reg. games will all be in HD. Exactly... it's really a wolf in sheep's clothing. At least once we're out of the East Conference we might get some late night Saturday games. But playing the early game means we pretty much always get trumped by Toronto for the HD channel.

If they're nationally televised, the CBC HD feed is from Toronto (on Shaw at least), so we should be all good, NO?!

Nationally televised is a farce, only one game at a time can be "nationally televised", and that is always the Leafs game. On Saturdays, CBC pays the national price (rather than regional price) for all Canadian teams games. However, they obviously only broadcast 1 of them nationally (and on Toronto's HD feed), while different regions get different feeds. So no, we don't truly have 21 national games. Only 6 or 7 on CBC this year. But CBC always pays for national coverage of each Canadian Team for every saturday game.

All five contests will be against Original Six teams, including Winnipeg’s second game of the season in Chicago against the Blackhawks on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Jets will also face Toronto, Boston, and the New York Rangers in nationally broadcast games on TSN.

So awesome. Have to start getting my signs ready for the games to get on HDTV!
Friends from coast-to-coast are all saying 'Jets are my 2nd favourite team' (after the Habs, Oilers, etc...Leafs...bah). There's a great goodwill atmosphere around Winnipeg - Canada is treating it like the whole country wins with the Jets.
