....there were many but I'm saying the Selanne deal. A Hall of Famer and fan favorite for two ham and eggers. Although I enjoyed watching Tverdovsky skate.
Your thoughts?

I agree. Future Hall of Famer (Selanne) for sacks of garbage and used pucks (AKA Kilger and Tverdovsky). Yes, Oleg was talented, but come on...
Other trades that bothered me, but were maybe not necessarily under the "worst trade" category: -Ed Olczyk for Domi (Eddie O was my favourite Jet at the time. But, we eventually got him back). -Tie Domi for Mike Eastwood. -Hawerchuk for Housley (Phil ended up being very good, but lasted only three seasons) -Housley for Nelson Emerson and Stephane Quintal (bleah). -Bob Essensa for Tim Cheveldae (no relation to Cheveldayoff).
Come to think of it, did the Jets ever make any really great trades?

Draper was an unknown at the time and was barely used. who is to say that he would develop into the player he became while he was in Winnipeg. traded for a dollar though?...ok, that was poor, but baseball players get traded for balls and bats sometimes. pro sports....

I'll go with the Selanne deal. the Selanne trade was out of managements hands. how many times do we have to explain that deal?? the "JETS" had nothing to do with that trade.

The Selanne deal was done by those Jokes who moved the team to Phoenix -- not Jets management.
I'd say the worst trade is the Babych for Neufeld transaction.
Fergie, god rest your soul, but what were ya thinking?

Your right! It was a good trade for the Jets!Chad Kilger and Oleg Tverdovsky did help us into the playoffs that final year,While Selanne and the Mighty Ducks were on the outside looking in. Anything that happened after that final Jets year doesnt count since the Jets no longer existed. ;D Come to think of it,that trade never did help the Mighty Ducks win a Cup did it-lol

We were still the Ducks...and in spirit, at least, we were still Mighty! So it took 12 years or so for that trade to produce a championship...some things take time-- It took 15 years to fix Conspicuous Lack of Jets Hockey.
