15th in terms of the actual arena. #1 in terms of atmosphere.

I agree with them that the scoreboard is "barely acceptable" and we need a new one.

I agree with them that the scoreboard is "barely acceptable" and we need a new one. Some people are saying that the sound is terrible. I've never been to the MTSC, but it looks and sounds fine on television. Obviously, you have to be there in person to get the full effect.

I am fine with the scoreboard...does the job..dont even think about it when I'm at the games....The Washrooms (in the upperdeck at least) are freaking horrible...To have to leave a minute before the end of a period just to have enough time to do your buisiness and then wait in line again for a beer and still be late for puckdrop for the next period is unacceptable. By far my biggest complaint about the MTSC.

I agree with both of you about the washrooms.
Bring back the trough!

Scoreboard not acceptable? It's just a scoreboard! I hate the attention-deficit world we live in these days. The real spectacle should be the 12 players on the ice. End of story. Not the firework-spitting, million-square-inch, super-duper-HD, ad-filled, obnoxiously loud cube that sits over the ice. If it tells me the score, time left, penalties.... maybe even *gasp* the shot count, what else should it do? we all grew up with those cheapo boards with the lightbulbs missing anyway. I am sure we can cope

^ Most of us now have HD tv's. We are spoiled! Once I saw a blu-ray movie on my blu-ray player I knew there was never going back to DVD.

I have never used the bathrooms at the arena, mostly because I don't usually drink beer at the game.
However, I have noticed that the sound can be a little muffled during those pre-game reports that they put up on the screen, where they interview players and talk about the team. Sometimes I find it difficult to catch every word.

Once I started downloading movies and playing avi files through my HD tv, I knew there was definitely no going back to buying or renting DVDs or blu rays ever again!

I know it breaks my heart to put my sons in the back seat of the truck knowing that they're watching Yogi Bear in standard def. How are we supposed to live without HD video in our vehicles? All I can do is shake my head.
If you guys had a choice and could only pick one, would you upgrade the sound at MTS or the scoreboard? I vote sound.

Honestly, the biggest 2 complaints about the MTS Centre (to me) are impossible to fix, but I'll say them anyway:
- Tiny, cramped concourses between periods (impossible to remedy) - Black mesh netting behind both nets (that all NHL arenas must have- but why it's not CLEAR fishing line is beyond me!)
Other than that, I have few complaints about MTSC for NHL games. The food is good, the beer is cold, the seat is comfy, the employees are respectful & make you feel welcome. Certainly couldn't say those things when the Winnipeg Arena was around!

Does sound matter with such ravenously loud fans?
