A big bright hello from me, a new member just joined yesterday on here, from across the Atlantic in the UK! Yes that is correct, amazing but true folks one or two genuine Jets fans DO exist in Britain! I said hello yesterday in the wrong thread I think, hehe sorry for that I'm quite old skool and have not used a forum like this for a while, so bear with me if I take a day or three to reply back . I'm British born but half Canadian with the WPG connection and having just recovered from seeing Vegas winning the Cup I am ready for a new season to start next week with Lowry at the helm, and hopefully top action from my main man Hellebuyck looking after the ironwork! My pen writing penfriend in WPG has very kindly sent me a great gift, a new Jets cap to wear with pride, so BIG YAYS for that! This season feels good to me folks, I have a great feeling about it in my bones and greying whiskers KGJUK

Hey Captain C Kind thanks for your welcome and for reaching out with an olive branch..... oops, I mean a hockey stick I have been quite busy recently but now I am catching up on recent games. Firstly, the 'NIHL' league which exists here in the UK, in my humble grey whiskered opinion, is no where up to scratch with the mighty NHL. I have been to a few NIHL games here in the UK, and there is definately some kind of buzz in the crowds that turn up. But the level of gamesmanship and excitement is definately lacking in comparison to the North American/Canadian game. It's still very early in the season, with just a handful of games played now, so the run of Jets losses does not bother me...yet. I find that October games are still training ground for the new faces, as they learn to navigate and connect with their teammates characteristics. The Jets just suffered a loss against the Kings, but hey-ho swo what, eh? What I am personally looking at, are the first games with both the finalist from last season, the Panthers and the (shreeeek!!!) Knights. A fantastic game against the Panthers ends with a comfortable win, with defence, offence and goaltending all looking quite alert and with a nice energy on the ice. Almost everyone else around me here in the quaint corner of merry England here, is cheering at soccer and rugby (bluggh!) and drinking English cider...while I am enjoying a nice Canadian beverage and watching the stars of Manitoba, new and old, fight it out in the ice and against the rattlin' boards! Here comes my personal big moment, which I predict could give a flavour of the Jets season to come.....can they beat the Knights, and how dominant will they play against them? We'll need a goadtender with hands of steel, so send on Hellebuyck guys! And watch out, the big guy is just warming up...! Big yays, tally-ho, and a jolly good kipper supper for me followed by a yummie doughnut the size of my head, if we get a win! GO JETS GO! KGJUK PS: I overstressed a few English sayings for good humour, I do not normally talk like that, hehe.

Apologies for my recent absence from this forum, I have been quite ill with flu...but all bette now, and catching up with all the amazing action from our Jets this early season Big yays for the standings so far, with our Jets managing to keep flying and roaring up high in the points, chasing the tail of the Dallas Stars. I am ready to eat that aforementioned doughnut the sized of my head because so far, it's massive bear sized big yays for the Jets...that's fuur suure! I seem to have convinced a few fellow English chaps over here, at a small sports bar in nearby town here, in southern Merry England to start watching NHL action over here, a REAL action sport instead of too much boring Soccer, Cricket, and 'indoor veteran bowls' (yes, no kidding guys!). As ever, my biggest concerns are keeping the Jets defence nice and tight and alert, when it needs to be, and the Stars and Avalanche who it must be admitted, are scorchin' hot and must be played at full Jets thrust at Mach 2! GO JETS GO! Make this British greying Jets fan over here in the land of political chaos, very proud of Winnipeg! I have my Pooh bear mascot at the ready
