Hehe, thank you kindly 2b9 for your thoughtful encouragement for me (and my cousin!) and others over here in ye olds England, who are big Jets fans For years, it has fascinated me that so many fellow Brits here in the UK, know very little, or maybe nothing at all, about the NHL. Hockey really IS the most fantastic and awesome sport there is. Any NHL player who is at the top end of the game, really is a true sportsman and athlete in so many ways. Precision, tactics, strength, cunning, speed, and sometimes taking and risking brute force punishment from pucks and speeding bodies! What is there not to admire, eh? My cousin who lives just across the way from me, who has poor mental health after a traumatic time, also LOVES the game with me and watching the Jets really makes him leap for joy, hehe! He tells me to say hello and that while he has a few inkpen penpals he writes letters to, he would love one who is a Jets fan! Got any ideas how he could go about looking for one, just to write letters to? Maybe for me too i guess, I like writing. Tally ho indeed, with big bells on, and heres hoping we here can get more British folks interested in 'shootin puck'

Not sure on how to go about finding a Jets pen pal, sorry about that. I would contact the Winnipeg Jets Organization directly, there will be some information from them, the Jets do a lot of community work with different organizations and people including people whom are going through hardships of many sorts, they the Jets are very friendly and community oriented, they probably would be able to assist you in making a connection, it’s very much so worth a try, go for it👍. Tally Ho and Cheers, 2b9😃👍

Hey thanks as ever 2b9 We just sent a large letter to the Canada Life Centre enclosing everything we think we need to get a nice reply back, and autograph of Hellebuyck, and maybe as an Xmas treat to cheer up my cousin, a nice Jets sticker for his apartment door! At this busy time of year, when postal services are very busy, as well as the fan dept no doubt, we expect a few months in delay for a reply. But it will be all worth it, if we get some positive news! Both my cousin and me, do have two or three pen letter pals around Canada already, but none seem to be interested in the NHL at all :s and certainly not the best bunch of guys in the league....our JETS! So to get a penpal or two who would like to also write about past and present Jets and memories, would be just 'superb', 'just smashing, and marvellous, as we say over here in Merry England! Just maybe in the forthcoming 2024, we might be flying over (no pun!) to Manitoba to see the place where my natural dad lived and finally (!!!) get to attend a real game of three to watch the Jets in action! Oh B O Y ! ! I'm going to pick up a pen now and write to the 'adult Santa' and see if he can deliver something fabulous that is Jets related, to us for Xmas Day We heard that Santa, the real Santa that is, IS a BIG fan of the JETS too, because he's a demon mover on the ice and also loves to race his sleigh across the world with a hockey stick in his hand, to 'puck' across all those smaller gifts into the top of passing chimneys, just like Kyle Connor taking a hard whack at the net from along the boards! Wooohooooo! Seeing the Jets give the Avalanche a surprise hammering was just the best last week Let's see if they can do it again, and gain top spot on the table GO JETS Go! Kurt & cousin (KayGeeUK)

Thank you very much 2b9 for those very fine words and yes, visiting both some Jets games at the CLC, and also a few places where I have researched my father was from around WPG, would be very touching and awesome for me. He was a kind of 'Jordan Peterson of the 70's' I understand, a great and principled people person, who yes did love watching hockey too. Let's all hope for some good things to look forward to in 2024, amongst this troubled world.
