Check out what i posted in the Devils bankruptcy forum. Many solid franchises have gone bankrupt like the LA dodgers,Texas Rangers, Ottawa Senitors, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins. When fans hear the word bankruptcy there 1st thought is crappy franchise like Phoenix Coyotes who should be on the move with no fans. However it doesn't always work like that. Usually when a solid team that goes bankrupt like the Dodgers or Senitors the team is sold to a new owner and everything is fine after that.

Something doesn't add up. If they are doing relatively well in terms of revenues, why are they in such bad shape? I'm not saying you're wrong, but it is interesting to me to speculate as to what's going on. Well the Dodgers are bankrupt and the Mets are supposedly going to lose 60 million this year but although I haven't seen their revenues on Forbes, I'm sure they both do good in terms of revenue. Here is the Forbes mlb list. Your right about both the Dodgers and Mets. The Dodgers are 3rd in franchise value and 4th in total revenue, the Mets were 5th in franchise value and 6th in revenue. www.forbes.com/lists/2011/33/baseball-valuations-11_land.html
