Thunder Bay Blue-Whites. That's the way they name things out in ON these days.

The City of Thunder Bay has a moose on it's coat of arms.
Personally I think they should be the Thunder Bay Jets.

I hope St John's also gets an AHL team.
Hate to see a city (in Canada) lose it's hockey team.

Maybe we'll end up seeing that cool Polar Bear logo True North came up with after all in T-Bay?

Any word on if Danny Williams is activly pursing an AHL team to purchase and move to St. John's? That's the best way for the city to get a team because it guarentees the team will stay. There are plenty of teams in the A that are independantly owned. I'm pumped about the news of the move, hopefully they reinstate the Moose brand. I always thought that Thunder Bay was a logical choice and I thought the team would eventually move there. Hopefully St. John's gets another team though but they will likely have to own it because travel complications have cause a few teams to end their affiliation with that city.

They are committed to the Jets for another season and a half. I'm sure they're looking at teams in the east whose affiliation runs out in 2016 or 2017

I have to say I'm really surprised at the possibility of the move to Thunder Bay. I guess the kicker in the deal is True North's partnership in the new building/complex. With everything that True North brings to the table as a partner it's a no brainer for local Thunder Bay politicians. It'll still be a struggle to fill the seats but I imagine they said the same thing about Winnipeg before the return of the NHL here. BTW Moose is the other no brainer....
