As bad as I feel for the St.Johns fans....I would really love to see the "Moose" again. I was a STH back in the day and part of a STH group for the Jets (Thanks to being a moose STH) I go with one buddy to a Jets game and have a good time. I could go with 4 or 5 buddies to a moose game and take my family to a bunch of other games

very informative read. thanks for that. i had no idea how much behind the eight ball that organization really is. doesnt seem fair. the city and fans do all they can but they have a WEC type manager. thats bad, thats very bad.

If the Caps move here how is the scheduling at MTS Centre going to be worked around the Jets schedule? I can't see any scenario where that will work.

The Jets play 41 home games, 4 exhibition and possible up to 16 home playoff games. That's 61 days, leaving 304 days for other events such as concerts and yes the return of the Moose

So its looking more and more like this upcoming season will be the last of the Jets affiliated IceCaps. Anyone know how things are moving in Thunder Bay and how long theyll need to get an arena ready?

I read that it might not even get built , even if it does , it will take at least 2 years.

^ So is there another short term venue in mind? Even one season in Winnipeg dosen't make much sense let alone 2 or more.

Your guess is as good as mine , where else can the team be put where it would even be well attended? to me anyway, winnipeg is the most logical choice . and the only place that was being mentioned , also you would have to think that with the jets waiting list it would do ok here , especially that its the jets prospects and not vancouvers.

If the Moose come back here I won't be attending those games. I'm a Jets STH and I can only spend so many nights at MTS Centre.

Far more Jets fans are not STHs and would love any opportunity to catch something close to the Jets... STH'ers in Groups would go to a few "Moose" games...Just cause. STH'er in Groups can go to additinal games with friends and family on the cheap. There are Moose fans out there that would love to see the return of the Moose....Yes they do exist! IMO the Moose would do better now than thy did before the Return of the Jets...

^ Good points!
I had no love for the Canucks' Moose. The Jets' Moose would be a completely different story. I'd likely be one of those who would go to a few New Moose games to check out the Jets prospects.

I would think this is the norm rather than the exception..The Moose were felt by many as the fat chick after dating the cheerleader...and people just couldnt settle for the Minors after having the NHL who they loved and had so much passion for. Not only were we expected to cheer for a minor league but the Canucks minor league affiliate....a tuff sell. Now it would be our farm team...we can watch our boys develop watch our prospects...and have a genuine affinity for the team...I would think some major Anti Moose guys would become pretty decent Moose fans.....Can you imagine a huge Moose fan by the name of Blackthorn?

I've followed the St. John's Ice Caps since day 1.
