Hellebuyck wore 30 when he was called up in April vs the Flames. Like I said, When he makes it, not just called up. Eric O'Dell still wears 58 when up with the Jets, not his number of choice. Scheifele wore 45 until he made the club. Trouba switched to 8 when he made it. I actually have a Jets Jersey signed by Trouba with a #3. I don't know if that makes it more valuable or less...

Wow. I was hoping Hellebuyck would do well but I NEVER expected him to play that well that consistently.
Sure makes things interesting in the crease next year

Hellebuyck may just steal the starters job from Pavelec this upcoming season.

Hellebuyck only non-NHLer to make all-star team. So awesome. I posted this in another thread but I could see the following scenario possibly play out this offseason: 1) Pavy not going anywhere since we won't have a trading partner 2) Hutch proved to be serviceable but struggled if asked to play more than 3 games in a row 3) Hellebuyck a stud behind weak AHL team and stud behind weaker USA team. 4) Hutch making only $600K garners interest from teams (such as Oilers) and gets dealt at draft for 4th rounder making room for Hellebuyck to challenge Pavy and upgrade our goaltending tandem.

That's a good post, especially the #4 scenario. I would hate to see Hutch go, but if we can package him in a trade with Edmonton, who have an abundance of young star forwards, we could better the team, and give Hellebuyck a chance to run with the ball.

Hey maybe the Jets should have brought up Hellebuyck late in the season like I said and gave him a playoff start being he was the best starting goalie in the AHL on one of the worst teams, "that's just crazy talk Tim"

I'd hate to see Hutch go too, but he's the odd man out IMO and there's trade value there with his low salary. Package him with Enstrom even
