Hellebuyck with a 50 save shutout last night versus Worchester
If he's not NHL ready this year, he's got to be next year.
I wonder who would be the Jets' odd man out? Hutchinson because you can't trade Helle and maybe nobody willing to take on Pavelec's contract?

Good chance he will get a shot at a roster spot next year, with Comrie waiting in the wings our goal tending depth is looking promising in the very near future.

I think next year he will get at least half the year in St. Johns before being called up for good.
I hope Pavs is the one sent packing but it's hard to guess. I wont lie I day dream of the thought of Hutchinson & Hellebuyck swapping duty in net for the Jets. I have watched a ton of youtube footage on Hellebuyck I really like the kid

A lot of people are saying that Hellebuyck will be the Jets franchise goalie, if Hutch doesn't post above average stats next year. There is no way Pavelec will be here after 2015-16.

^ In a few years we will have a 3 way battle for the starter position between Hutch, Hellebuyck, and Comrie. No way Pavelec is staying in Winnipeg when his contract runs out.

It would be great to watch the odd St.Johns game on T.V... I'm not sure if the quality of broadcasts have improved but I remember watching the odd Moose game that was broadcast and my Uncles 1986 camcorder had better quality...

BEst result for the Jets is all three show starting potential....pick the best trade the rest. IMO it will be Hellebuyck. He is big ahtletic and has great vision/positioning. He isnt the Flashy save goalie...because they seem to always hit him in the chest. Hutch is a starting caliber goalie, will probably be a great trade piece to one of those star packed teams that tneds to eat through goalies due to money being spent elsewhere (think the flyers). And Jets fans shouldnt forget, Expansion is going to happen. Extra Goalies become a premium asset when you add two teams who need starting goaltenders.

I love Connor Hellebuyck....he changed the way the city of lowell watches sports. UML has taken the city by storm...and that kid is highly responsible

Hellebuyck, Several Monarchs Lead Way for AHL AwardsLes Cunningham Award (AHL MVP)Connor Hellebuyck (St. John’s IceCaps) Teemu Pulkkinen (Grand Rapids Griffins) Andy Miele (Grand Rapids Griffins) Hellebuyck may seem like an unconventional pick when you look at his stats. He’s 23rd in goals against average and 10th in save percentage. This is one of the cases where stats need to be disregarded. As a rookie, Hellebuyck has started 57 games to date. That’s eight more than second placed JF Berube, who has 49. What makes him an MVP candidate? Countless time, Hellebuyck has stolen two points for the IceCaps when they did not deserve them. He also does that while starting an incredible amount of games, getting barely any nights off. Simply put, he has single-handedly had the biggest impact on his team’s outcome more than any other player in the league. Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Award (Outstanding Rookie)Connor Hellebuyck (St. John’s IceCaps) Connor Brown (Toronto Marlies) Matt Murray (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins) This vote comes a little bit easier when you’ve already voted Hellebuyck as your league MVP. If you need an explanation here, see above. Aldege “Baz” Bastien Award (Outstanding Goaltender)Connor Helelbuyck (St. John’s IceCaps) Matt Murray (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins) Mike McKenna (Portland Pirates)
