LOL They are NOT losing to Kansas City. Price is due. Even you have to admit game 7 is in the bag so really it comes down to tomorrow nights real game 7.
Cubs didn't deserve to win. Playoffs a lot of times are just random luck but the right team absolutely won the series. This was a beatdown! I'm glad the way it turned out the way it did. When the Cubs win I want them to win with a true world series type team not a team that got lucky. The bottom line is the Cubs don't have a number 3 or 4 starter. Hammel went 1 1/3rd inning last night and gave up 5 runs. The Cubs are VERY VERY close though. They need to solve center field and add 2 more starters. There are a ton of free agent starters available this offseason and the Cubs do have the money plus pieces to trade(either Javier Baez or Starlin Castro). Personally I prefer one of Grienke/Jordan Zimmerman and a less tier pitcher like a John Lackey or Marco Estrada. Price scares me because what he's going to get will be insane. A guy like Grienke you probably can get for 5 years. If we sign Price to a massive deal knowing our luck he will blow his arm out in spring training.

Hey Manning won a superbowl!! Lot of Mannings problems were he was facing the greatest player in NFL history too much!!! And the greatest defensive mind in history!!! New England would have done that to a LOT of people. Kershaw threw well his last time and won. Price threw well last time too but his defense screwed him over. You have to keep in mind sample sizes. Still though if Price loses tonight then you have to wonder about him. At some point you are going to get a big enough sample size to say he just chokes under pressure.

Tonight is the perfect test for Price. Has a pitcher ever faced more pressure? Toronto traded a good chunk of what's left of their farm system for him. Toronto is a great but aging team with a dim future especially when you consider the ownership locked themselves into lower 2/3rds revenue for a long time for no reason. Toronto's time is NOW!!! If he chokes tonight there will be no more talk of "sample sizes" in the playoffs. I think he costs him self a ton of money if he gets lit up tonight.

PEyton manning has like 8 or 9 1 and done playoff games. Not good. Also PEyton had a defense that year that carried them through and they played rex grossman in the superbowl. IF the PAts hadnt choked that afc championship they would have hung 50 on the bears.

But back to Price and KErshaw. Both guys have horrible playoff records. KErshaw got his win yes, but for the money those guys demand, you would win a game 7

Especially in that monsoon. Bottom line is Payton still won it all and made 2 other superbowls. Not Bradylike but that's still pretty good. I could see your view if he never won(ala Marino).

Hey Brady is the greatest EVER but those receivers were a joke that year! That's a big reason why you didn't beat Manning that year and why Randy Moss/Welker were brought in.
