I understand where you are coming from. But what a statement it would be. The entire NHL knows he wanted out and tried to force his hand in a move, but yet there he is, in a Jets uniform playing defence in Winnipeg! He goes when we say he goes! End of story. Oh, and if he plays like sweet? Then even more the better as his stock plummets as do his earnings. Again, we OWN his ass!! That's why Chevy is building a bridge. Maybe Trouba will drive off it or maybe better gets pushed.

I repeat my question: do we really want a malcontent on the roster? I understand where you are coming from. But what a statement it would be. Again, we OWN his ass!! i am in your camp..this business needs to make a statement that says "you are our asset and we will decide how to use you"...and its not like he is getting taken advantage of at $5.5 million per year...let him rot

So far as I know, there is nothing stopping Chevy from making a trade conditional upon the other team negotiating a contract with Trouba. I would prefer that Trouba never be seen in Jet colours again.

A line in the sand needs to be drawn, and it may as well be now. I'd be ok if this takes 3 or 4 years if it puts Overwhatshisname in his place.

This looks to be another development yr so to me it appears there won't be a trade unless the perfect deal comes along and the team is A-O-K with it. What a perfect chance for the organization to dig in. No? Then, when Trouba's either lost a yr and does or doesn't get moved, or buckles and salvages the season, the team comes out looking stronger. No matter what happens, we win, but my money is on bridge first, with an outside shot at the $5.3ish mill 6 yr deal that is still rather CAO friendly that allows him to easily be moved.

We are in a playoff spot right now. He can sit or sign.

Even at the current salary, Trouba is losing about $21,500 per game (excluding bonuses)not played, and a lot more if he was playing for 5.25 million per. Trouba's accountant is not going to be happy.

Wouldn't mind seeing Trouba + Burmi go to the NYR for Skjei and a forward like JT Miller. Skjei looks awful good so far! If Trouba wants to get away so bad he should sign a 6 year 5 mill deal. Might be appealing to other GMs if he is slightly under his comparables in salary? If you want out so badly you might not want to tie Chevy's hands with an unreasonable contract to move Jacob!

Take your time Chevy. Just like you didn't bite for Ladd. And speaking of Ladd with 1 assist in 12 games and now demoted to the fourth line: Eriksson, Ladd face off as early free-agent bustswww.thescore.com/news/1148825

Ladd has been sweet for a few years now. No surprise he is sweet still.
