Premature to write him off. Some of these big guys need time to catch up to their growing body, fill in, and develop the strength to go along with it. He is on the ELC slide so he still has another year to develop in the AHL.

Presumptive diagnosis. Goalies and defensemen can take longer. Chara had been touted as the prime example of this. You maybe right but I hope you're wrong.

I've only seen him play a couple of times this season so unfortunately I havent seen enough of him myself to get a good feel for how he's developing. When I did see him, he sure didn't look bad enough for me to rule him out as an NHL'er, but it looked like he still has to improve his skating mainly...I think the other tools are there if he can physically keep up. But yeah, that is an "if"...and yeah he still has time to develop.
