^ I'd agree with that, too...the Stars don't deserve to die, they've won a Cup and were contenders, they've had good palyers in their tenure in Dallas, and they haven't been a complete embarrassment...
Far from it, arguably, tied or after the Lightning, they've been the most successful team south of Washington D.C.

Did they ask everyone to move down at that game? Because some parts looked nearly full in the highlights, but they never showed above the first 7 or 8 rows of seats, which seems to indicate that the entire upper bowl and maybe middle part were empty.
EDIT THanks for editing a picture in.

I feel sad for the fans of this teams that go to the games, buy their season tickets and support the team.
There is obviously not enough of them, and if they pull the plug on Phoneix those die hard fans will feel like we did when it happened

However, they are paying ticket prices far lower than fans in the Northern US and Canada who are subsidizing them. Would they still have season tickets if they had to pay the same prices as fans in those markets?

Phoenix has more season tickets sold in the "cheap" sections of the upper bowl than the $45.00 lower bowl seats. On the bright side, the lines for beer, food and the washrooms must move really fast at some of these arenas.

Oh man, you can breeze right though any 'line' in Phoenix. Ive actually heard people at Jobing complain when the building gets full that lines are too long and they will only come to empty games. No knock on any regular attenders, because we all are willing put with with waiting for a beer or the loo. And yes, i know the argument from ticket holders in Phoenix will be that those arent real fans, and they are correct. Its just an observation i made in my 3 seasons there....

Not sure if this pic has been posted or when it was taken. Just seen it on Twitter as posted by Darren Rovell:

I'm watching the Kings @ Stars game. 2-3,000 fans maybe. I know the baseball championship is happening but I'm watching and it looks like a joke.

Announced attendance: 8,443.
SportsNet Commentator: "you can drop the "8" from that number. I have never seen such a sparsely attended game."

twitpic.com/76tdm0This is a pic from last night in Phx. Not the best shot from my friends phone, but you can see on the scoreboard that its NJ. Taken from a suite, and you can clearly see there are a few empty seats......

Anyone have any pictures of the stands from this game. I saw the highlights on tv, but they never showed anything above the top 5 or 6 rows.....btw, just from seeing those 5 or 6 rows, it looked dismal...
