An article about the 12 standouts at the World Junior Summer Showcase mentioned one Winnipeg Jets prospect. Here's what they had to say about the Jets' Swedish defenseman prospect:
Elias Salomonsson, D, Sweden (Winnipeg Jets)
There was so much to like about Salomonsson’s game at the WJSS. His game seems to be rounding into the form everyone expected going into his draft year. His ability to move the puck as a passer and skater is impressive while he was all over the defensive zone, using his length to poke pucks away and engaging physically along the boards.
The Jets’ second-round pick in 2022 looked like he could be one of the pillars on the Swedish blueline in December. He played a smart, poised game with and without the puck. The Swedes’ strength is their back end, and Salomonsson should be a big-time contributor in all situations.

Sounds like Pittsburgh is close to acquiring Karlsson....reports saying the deal might be done today.
The only things I saw mentioned included Granlund potentially going to SJ, Karlsson to PIT, and Petry maybe to MTL. Obviously the Penguins will have to give up more than that.

In the 3-team trade with San Jose and Montreal, the Penguins have acquired Karlsson, forward Rem Pitlick, forward Dillion Hamaliuk, and a 2026 third-round draft pick. The Pens traded their 2024 first-round pick (top-10 protected), Michael Granlund, and Jan Rutta to the Sharks, who also received Mike Hoffman in the deal. The Pens traded their 2025 second-round draft pick, Jeff Petry, Casey DeSmith, and Nathan Legare to Montreal. **SJ retains 13% of Karlsson's contract, while the Pens retained 25% of Petry's contract.**

If we had the room Dumba for 3.9M would've looked good!

Plus a few picks and some salary retention.

Exactly one month until the Winnipeg Jets' first pre-season game versus the Edmonton Oilers on September 24rd. Chevy is running out of time to get things done before the season starts.
As it stands, the Jets have 14 forwards, 8 defensemen, and 2 goalies on their roster with $1.78M in cap space remaining. If the team does nothing other than re-sign Chisholm before training camp, then Winnipeg will have to deal with at least two players having to go through the risk of waivers.
If the Jets decide to go the 13 forward/8 defensemen route, then they will have to risk one of the forwards (25 yr old Jonsson-Fjallby or 23 yr old David Gustafsson) and one of the defensemen (26 yr old Capobianco, 25 yr old Stanley, or 23 yr old Declan Chisholm). They could opt for the more standard 14 forward/7 defensemen option, but that would result in two of the defenders having to go through waivers (26 yr old Capobianco, 25 yr old Stanley, or 23 yr old Declan Chisholm). While losing any of them won't be a disaster for the franchise, it is kind of like giving away a 4 or 5 year old car for nothing rather than reselling it, just because it's a Ford Escort or Chevy Cavalier and not a Porsche or Mercedes.
And that is not even acknowledging another year in the minors for waiver exempt 22 yr old Ville Heinola or one of the really young players making the squad out of training camp. As it stands, Cole Perfetti will be the lone waiver-exempt player on the Winnipeg Jets next season.
Who knows, maybe Chevy will wake up from his nap to get something done before then.

Chevy should wake out of his slumber and get Konecky for Scheifle in a swap and chisolm and henola for provorov since chevy has no clue on what to do with his good prospect defensman? Stanley won't win us nothing?Konecky is a true point per game player probably beat Conner abd Ehlers hands down in all departments guarnteed?

Younger guy that comes to play every night. Chisholm and Heinola for Provorov? Provorov was just traded to Columbus. Not sure why they would be flipping him, especially for the two guys you mention?
