Winnipeg Jets announced a new affiliation with the ECHL's Norfolk Admirals. Yeah, saw that. Looking forward to it.

Chevy should wake out of his slumber and get Konecky for Scheifle in a swap and chisolm and henola for provorov since chevy has no clue on what to do with his good prospect defensman? Stanley won't win us nothing?Konecky is a true point per game player probably beat Conner abd Ehlers hands down in all departments guarnteed? Stanley won't win us nothing? Neither would McDavid if he were a Jet. It's a team game. It requires every player to commit to a system and to follow it. If Stanley follows the system and plays a physical game then he would be one cog in the wheel. Now lets see who else can be a contributor. Chevy can't just target a player and go get him. The other teams have their own priorities and they likely don't align with the Jets'. Besides there's 30 other teams who might offer a better deal then Scheif.

Given how little confidence the team has placed in Stanley, I fully expect him to be traded, but I am not convinced he was used properly to the best advantage of both him and the team.

Hey isn't that illegal? Recruiting outside the approved dates is verboten. He's not a RFA yet. And we like him, he's a valuable member.

I’m also on the other site, just inviting BOJA back over, not asking him to leave here👍. Hey 2B9, EK is correct, I signed through the 2023-24 NHL season with the JetsHockeyForum so won't be a free agent until next off-season. Seriously though, I did notice that some new company has taken over ArcticIce, but my excitement quickly disappeared when they mentioned that they were bringing the same person back to run the site. This is a person who doesn't seem to put much effort into articles about the Winnipeg Jets unless there happens to be some social injustice they feel passionate about. Someone who regularly posted Game Previews within an hour of the game's start time, if at all ( while other SB Nation sites asked for them to be done by 8:30 am on game days). That is not even mentioning that their articles typically included very little actual information about the upcoming match and typically included some excuse about how busy their life is. Here are some examples of the great writing & insight the new owner's signed up for: " The Winnipeg Jets are playing one of the worst teams in the NHL in the Anaheim Ducks. They have lost to the Ducks this season, but the Ducks are BAD. The Jets do need to show up and play their game, but they should be the heavy favourites here. However, this is the Winnipeg Jets and they can struggle at the worst and weirdest times. With the Jets you have to be ready for anything. The Ducks are bad. They have some good, intriguing players, but they are bad and they know it." " The Winnipeg Jets and Tampa Bay Lightning are playing tonight on the same night as the Academy Awards, so excuse me for being late writing this for fashion reasons." It seems possible that this person might bring Harrison back, so there is a chance at least the Game Recaps will be entertaining. But in the past, they haven't been open to having any other writers contribute to the site despite offers by multiple people to do so for free, so I don't expect much else from them this time ( yes, there was Cole, but he just did a weekly transaction wrap up for the NHL and nothing Jets-specific). Therefore, at this point I am in a wait & see mode. While I do miss discussing the Jets with the commenters at Arctic Ice that didn't come over here, it feels wrong to support a company who has signed someone as inept or uninterested in the Jets as the person they did.

Not sure how accurate this is from NHLTradeRumor.com, but they are reporting the Jets & Rangers are discussing a trade. Here is the alleged proposal on the table:
To New York:
Mark Scheifele C at $6,125,000 Ville Heinola LD at $863,333
To Winnipeg:
Filip Chytil C, LW at $4,437,500 Braden Schneider RD at $925,000
Not sure the money works without Winnipeg retaining some salary on Scheifele, as New York is only $700k under the cap and can't afford to really take on more salary than they give. Otherwise, it seems on the surface to be a pretty good offer for the Jets...filling a top 6 center hole and addressing a weak right side of the defense.

If this is going to happen, hopefully it’s done within a week, being done prior to training camp starting would be beneficial to both teams and players involved. And, if this does happen, looks like Helly would start the season with the Jets.

I could live with that offer. We need to bring in an RD and Chytil is a solid developing center that may be able to play more than a 100 ft game.
I like the idea of a Swayman and Carlo offer better but the moving parts make that tough. I think Hellebuyck doesn’t move until later.
Would prefer to get Scheifele moved pre-season.

Moving Hellebuyck at the trade deadline is the sign of a lameduck season! Secondly when have you seen a number one goalie get traded at the trade deadline other then to replace an injured goalie. Then the biggest question of all what happens if this becomes a playoff team, bottom line if he is not traded or sighed before the season starts this organization is in for some long term damage.
