Ok all, this game is done, out of the way, forget about.
Jets will go back to the drawing board, figure out what they did wrong, figure out what they did well, then start from scratch.
It’s only 3 games in.
I will emphasize/assuming the Jets Coaching Staff will do as well, be disciplined, be consistent, stick with the game plan, practice in/practice out, game in/game out👍!
Have a great night all😃👍!
Cheers,
2b9😃👍

Announced crowd of just over 11,200? Are you sure about that, I don’t believe that number.

Are you sure about that, I don’t believe that number. Number given during IC post game show. ESPN has it at 11,226, just 75% of capacity. Not a good trend in attendance this year.

Are you sure about that, I don’t believe that number. Number given during IC post game show. Thinking that IC made a mistake on the attendance numbers, can’t be true, this was PLD’s first appearance back here/The Peg. To all fans out there that attended the game, did it look like that there were there 4000 empty seats in the Arena? Didn’t look so on TV. And to those that viewed the game on TV, did it look like there were 4000 empty seats in the Arena? Looking forward to hearing from everyone👍. Have a great night all😃👍! Cheers, 2b9😃👍

There were stretches of empty seats if you looked for it. It's hard to see as the seats are the same colour as the jersey. And you never see the camera pan on the nosebleed sections. I believe the 11.2K number.

That puts a little stink on the "new season smell" and it sucks that Dubois helped rub theirs noses in it. If the Jets want to be a contender they have to beat teams like the Kings. Everyone knows the Kings system and yet the Jets succumbed to it again. I've harped on this for years but that team is built for the playoffs, the Jets aren't.
Positives: Kupari is looking better every game
Needs attention: Niederiter was invisible Helle is still hungover? The team spent too much time trying to defeat LA s system and forgot what make them successful, skate harder faster. Crash the net.
Vegas will be here to give them another look at what a contending team looks like. Hopefully the Jets play their own game instead of chasing Vegas's system.

First 2 games were encouraging. Game 3 was disappointing. Very much like last year's fold under pressure Jets. It'll take some time to determine if this group is actually very much better. Or, at all better. Lost a couple of players. Gained a few players. Overall, very much the same crew. So, wait and see.
Watching the Vilardi replay, it looked really bad. Hopefully not, but that knee was bent where it shouldn't be bent. Could be ligament damage.
Dubois opens the scoring. Vilardi goes down. Jets get spanked. Perfect night at CLC.
On a side note, Lowrey and Appleton are both standing there watching Dubois cash the rebound. A step away. C'mon guys. He shoulda been on his ass.

11000 seems right. I was there…. Makes sense that that it was nice to walk around in the intermission without touching everyone. Blissful
On another note, this team won’t last 2 more years.

Attendance confirmed at 11,226.
Hoping that this is just a one off.
Hopefully attendance picks up as the season moves forward.

Watched the replay on that goal and yes 17 is a spectator which can't be happening right in front of your net!

Attendance confirmed at 11,226. Hoping that this is just a one off. Hopefully attendance picks up as the season moves forward. It's supposed to be the early season euphoria! And it's obviously not, which has to seriously concern management. Just wondering how they come up with these numbers...if STH don't show up, is the seat still considered to have a fanny in it, or are the numbers of people actually entering the building the number that's posted??

It's a new season and apathy is already apparent. If the team circles around the bubble drain, in the 19th to 20th range as the experts have them ranked, we could see attendance reach all time lows, non covid.
Not to worry though. Apparently ownership has said the team will be here forever, no matter what. I read that somewhere. Tongue in cheek.
We shouldn't kid ourselves. This team is worth 4 or 5 times more than what True North bought it for. I'm not sure what their financial status is, as far as hockey operations, but the rich don't get rich by missed money. True North makes a boatload of money on many other fronts. So I imagine they're willing to bleed. To a point. It's not so much money lost, as opposed to money not made. Tally up the money missed on empty seats times 82. Then add in missed concession revenue and other related profit opportunity.
Anybody who thinks that this team will never be moved, or sold and moved, is delusional. When it comes to loyalty to a city's fan base by the wealthy, I say this. Remember the Grizzlies.
