This game was all too reminiscent of past Jet performances. For some reason, Hellebuyck was not at his best but Talbot did not have to work very hard at all and too many Jets were invisible. Jet defence looks to be the same as last year.

Attendance confirmed at 11,226. Hoping that this is just a one off. Hopefully attendance picks up as the season moves forward. It's supposed to be the early season euphoria! And it's obviously not, which has to seriously concern management. Just wondering how they come up with these numbers...if STH don't show up, is the seat still considered to have a fanny in it, or are the numbers of people actually entering the building the number that's posted?? This begs the question, how many season ticket holders does the team actually have? I understand some not showing up, but are those tickets just wasted?

11000 seems right. I was there…. Makes sense that that it was nice to walk around in the intermission without touching everyone. Blissful On another note, this team won’t last 2 more years. I'll bet you a pair of season tickets for life they last more then two years. Lmk

There's a list of potential suitors. Not sure that would work for ovi1. Travel could be an issue. Screwd bet though. I like it.

Well it will be Jets season tickets for life because the only way the team is not here two years from now is because of World War 3 and we all aren't around two years from now.

I just edited my post. I mistook who the original poster was. I kinda thought you were joking with an unloseable bet. But, WW3 is pretty serious. I don't think it happens within 2 years either. I'd say 5 to 10 unless things change drastically.

Bones has stated that Vilardi has a sprained MCL, out 4-6 weeks, no surgery required.

Be carful with that thought process, it’s the same thought process that made them leave last time. Nothing is infinite …. Even if you have Thompson backing you.

On a side note, Lowrey and Appleton are both standing there watching Dubois cash the rebound. A step away. C'mon guys. He shoulda been on his ass. Both players were on the ice for the entire 2 minutes of penalty killing, plus whatever time passed after the Jet was out of the box before scoring. All 4 Winnipeg players were out of gas when PLD scored.

All I'm saying is there is a reason that typical NHL shifts last between 45 seconds & one minute. Any longer than that and the player is much less effective. Especially in a hot NHL rink where gliding lasts only 2 feet and kills that trick for saving energy.
