Here we go, it's been a wild ride, regular season ends tonight!
Jets and Canucks divisional positions are already decided so you could say tonight is a "meaningless game", but there are some things at stake. Such as, if Jets win, Jets finish ahead to Canucks in the conference seeding, which has no impact on round 1 but could matter in subsequent rounds in the unlikely event these teams meet later in the playoffs.
Also on the line is the Jets rather tenuous hold on the Jennings race. Florida's regular season is done. If Jets hold the Canucks to 3 or less goals, they get at least a share of that award.
Well, none of those minor details are going to impact the lineup Bowness ices tonight. It's all about rest and preparation for playoffs, so Jets will be icing a one-off lineup that I'm sure we'll never see again.
Some of the core players such as Scheif, Connor, Morrissey, Lowry, Dillon, Hellebuyck will be getting a rest.
In their place will be an assortment of back-benchers and Moose up and comers that will get a chance to impress the coaches and fans.
I have to admit, expectations tempered but I'm pretty excited to see Lambert and Chibrikov play some significant NHL minutes!
Brossoit gets the start, it looks like Delia will be the backup.
From Illegal Curve:
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Ehlers - Monahan - Toffoli Iafallo - Lambert - Vilardi Niederrieter - Gustafsson - Chibrikov Perfetti - Kupari - Appleton
Schmidt - DeMelo Samberg - Pionk Stanley - Miller
Brossoit Delia
Go JETS Go!

Hopefully the Jets can win tonight, if that’s the case, Jets end up with more points than Vancouver, if we were to face Vancouver in the West Final, Jets would have home ice advantage.
Also, 2 goals or less allowed tonight against Vancouver gives us the Jennings Trophy as the best defensive team in the NHL, if the Jets give up 3 goals, Jets and Panthers will share the winning of the Jennings Trophy.
The AHL kids in the lineup tonight are looking forward to this game, they are going to try to prove that they belong with the Jets down the road/long term.
So, it’s not a meaningless game for the Jets tonight.
GO JETS GO, get the win👍👍!!
Cheers,
2b9😉😃👍

Hustler mentioned tonight something like an upgraded Finn wearing 93...Lambert taking over Vesalainen's number.

I think he is looking good, won the FO at puck drop and I think he got the first SOG. Smitty is rusty started gliding and invited the nuck to score... so there's that. EK, are you watching the game?
