Think Winnipeg would be better served trading them at cost of draft picks/lower level prospects, which shouldn't be impossible with only 1 yr remaining...money will be too tight to adequately replace everyone with any more cap penalties besides Wheeler's. At least that's how I see things. I don’t believe the team wants to give up any more draft picks. More likely they want to add and there really are no teams left to salary dump. Arizona is moving and has about 100 draft picks already in the next few years. I just don’t see a trade path for either.

Don’t discount that there is no Trade path, it’s all about being creative including just getting what you can to dump Salaries, use that money that you saved to bring others on board, it can be done. Cheers, 2b9😉😃👍

I really don't see the Jets having much difficulty trading Pionk & Schmidt, since there are a lot of crappy teams with plenty of cap space (ANA, SJ, CHI, UTAH, etc). Utah didn't even have one defenseman signed for next season the last time I looked, so they will definitely be in the market for players. At worst, Winnipeg would have to give up a late draft pick (4th to 7th) to help a transaction occur and at best may even get similar picks or better in return for them, in my opinion.

Winnipeg Jets parting ways with Brad Lauer....so the team will have new coaches for both the powerplay & penalty kill next season.

If anyone is interested in seeing what Winnipeg Jets' prospect Jacob Julien plays like, the London Knights will be taking on the Moose Jaw Warriors tonight in a Memorial Cup game. The big center picked up two assists in his team's opening game, including one off a beauty face-off win in the offensive zone. You can check the helpers out in the video below: x.com/icdave/status/1794561408996364546?s=46&t=nAYnMAOL_CZxo08wp4vSvwPuck drop is around 6:30 pm CST and the game will be on TSN.
