Don't mean to sound neagtive but........After my experiences at the Excel Energy Centre in St Paul MN, the MTS Centre is NOT a state of the art NHL calibre arena. They have a ton of bugs they need to work on in the place. Overcrowded upper concourse, limited beer and concesions leading to long lines. Not enough restrooms. These stupid railings and people leaning forward in their seats. Oh well I guess thats what you get when you can't afford $120 for a prime season ticket. But, at the same time, you just couldn't beat the atmosphere there last night. TNSE lets get these issues resolved ASAP!! The line ups downstairs were just as bad. There were massive lineups for the mens washrooms and the corridors were barely passable. On a positive note my wife said that there was no line for the women's washroom. I had my ticket scanned andleft MTSC and peed in a back alley, packed my own hand-sanitizer. The traffic of fans to nearby alleys was steady. The police walked by and literally turned their heads the other way and kept walking. I don't know what you would do at the game if you had to take a small child to the washroom. I may just pick up some depends for myself for next game. Edit: My seats are in the lower bowl

A few women I know at last night's game were saying there was no line for the woman's washrooms. I would guess the crowd last night was 70% men, and 30% women; yet there's four woman's washrooms and just three men's washrooms. I'm going to get flamed by women on this board, but I really think they need to convert a woman's washroom into a mens.
Edit: I'm in the 300 level.

I agree with the following:
There were massive lineups for the mens washrooms. I was told that guys were intending on using the sink ...Yikes!
The corridors were barely passable, so much so that going for a walk around was just not worth it . Example : to look for souveniers etc.
Line-ups for the food/drink were acceptable IMHO
TNSE if you are reading this......HELP!
PS ....I had a great time otherwise.

Settle down boys. Can you imagine the work that TN had to do in order to be ready to start this season. Quit whinning and suck it up!!! You were at an NHL game in Winnipeg last night and you're running your mouths about the bathrooms.
Cut TN some slack. Email them if you feel the need, but we really shouldn't be complaining after the first game in 15 years.
Does TN have some work to do in the arena??? Yes. Do you think they are aware that they still have work to do??? I'm pretty sure they know that things need to change in the 300 level. Give them time. Probably won't happen till next summer though, so sit back and enjoy going to NHL hockey in Winnipeg!

But... If you are in the upper deck....you cannot hear the PA announcer. and NO it's not because teh crowd was loud. Even when the crowd wasn't cheering....you could NOT make out what he was saying...they need to install speakers somewhere in the upper deck so that we can here the announcements and hear the music they're playing... There were many complaining of the same thing during the intermissions. We can't hear anything!, turn up the volume!!!! I complained about this following a preseason game 2 years ago over on the other boards and was basically told to STFU because I was just trying to find things wrong with the arena. It is a problem and there is an semi easy fix, one speaker per section would solve this problem. I'd like to add to the wish list, some brighter lighting in the upper bowl.

And while there is tons here about the men's washrooms, what about the women? we usually hang out longer in the can (unfortunately! And I'm not one of them) so what were those lines like???

BTW there are speakers in the upper deck i belive, I heard from others on this board that TSNE told them that those speakers wernt working during that first game, i also noticed the lack of sound and mentioned it several times during that first game.

Never thought of the ratio.

GOOD idea. And have two men share a stall at a time, this way you can have pee sword fights and make a new friend at the same time
